- Eden will be back next year -

Had a quick look at them and seem to be linked with Venus etc in Manchester, if so a stellar choice for Eden, the sort of crowd that goes to Venus these days would be quite happy in San An.

Maybe, just maybe, they might be able to be fairly busy regularly, by not charging mental prices for drinks like their more illustrious competitors do? Imagine that. Do you need to have a DJ Mag Top Ten lineup to get punters in the door? How about going with a good music policy with a bit of variation, as opposed to massive name policy, and not ripping people off, and maybe it'd work?

Free to get in and cheap drinks? You need somewhere to go where things might just end messy when it wasn't planned. Sometimes some of the best nights.

Tbh I dont really know enough about their lineups etc but surely a packed club paying the same kinda prices as Hush/Plastik/Underground promoting local ibicenco djs and worker djs as well as a roster of affordable quality djs (ie. not Morillo) would work and become quite popular amongst workers and in turn the british tourists they need to target. Maybe free before 12, then 10-15 euros after or something. Keep it cheap for the kids. They don't need to give stuff away, just make it an affordable alternative to taxi+superclub miles away. If they halved their prices people might not feel the need to get so tanked up in the west end before going in.

For me Eden was at best alright (after its revamp in 2008) but why try and be Amnesia or Space etc when you are clearly not of the same calibre. If I was in San An and had the choice between paying for a ticket then paying through the nose for water/beer/vodka limons in an average club, or going to hush/plastik or underground I'd pretty much always go for the latter.

Im 99% sure it'll be same old though.

Apologies to Joshmags, ive pretty much repeated what you said, with exception of Morillo! Hasbeens like Erick with their associated cost would drive prices up. Theres plenty up and coming talent out there that would jump at the exposure and not cost the earth, that applies to any genre.

If they lower the prices and promote local island/worker talent maybe folks will start supporting it. Look at zoo projects early days, they pretty much did that and the drinks were reasonable. Ok they had the novelty aspect too but for San An they need to do something to stop the drain of clubbers east every night. Maybe offering better value would work.

I think its part of a wider problem for clubs/promoters. Everyone has acces to information these days so everyone knows whats hot n whats not (by popular opinion). Less people are lured into Eden / Es Paradis by club reps etc as everyone knows where the big parties are in terms of paying for tickets. Im not sure if it cuts it anymore to be the 6th best club on the island with lineups the other clubs didnt bother with. So yeah I agree with the above , dont try n be something your not , cut your costs and your prices and people may be happy to get whats on offer

I think they are going for a different angle to be honest, they seem to be going for the nights that will attract a more San An crowd (I say that in the nicest way) and I think/hope that they have a fighting chance. They've obviously clocked they can't compete with the big names at the big clubs and so are coming at it from a different angle, for example the croud at faux will just be happy to be in Ibiza, they've got some harder dance lined up, again kids that will just be happy to be in ibiza, have access to cheap piss, not be interested in eating €100 meals, that sort of thing.

If they get it right and stick at it, it could be beneficial for the whole of the area, attracting a crowd that wouldn't fit in with Ibiza Town PdB.

Despite not really liking the place very much I've had some great times in there. Of particular note a workers party in 2005 that decamped to Extasis and eventually after stumbling in, my panicked mate about to leave the hotel and the two of us running along the road chasing after our airport transfer, then in 2008 when Andy Cato was playing when they had a Lovebox room, turning round on the dancefloor to find my mate and his bird there from back home and being genuinely surprised they were there, only for them to remind me they were on holiday with me. Good times.

I thought that too.... syrossian, sante and charles would do the club really well, a real alternative for traveling across the island. They'd get the British people staying in san an, plenty of workers with the following syrossian has from sankeys and people from all over the island. This night would get everyone talking which is what Eden needs.

It's a shame that things haven't gone so well in the last few years, especially with the 2013 refurb.

Although didn't someone say that they were gonna do a night at Privileges Vista room?

That sort of line up could be a saviour for Eden. I would invest heavily to get thenm as you would have people travelling to San An for a change to go clubbing.

Would be cool. Google maps has an inside tour of Eden and I must say it looks nice even if it is smaller than other Ibiza clubs. Also helps that it is 5 mins walking distance from my hotel lol.

They could also look at getting smaller deep tech artists like I dunno maybe some Anjunadeep guys as a shot in the dark. Or other DJs that I don't see getting booked anywhere, like Danny Howells, Nick Warren...I dunno these are just ideas. Like personally, it would cause a conflict with me between these artists and the other artists other clubs are getting.

I think the best thing they can do is get people that the thousands and thousands of Brits, within a 10 minute walk of Eden, have heard of.

The first time I went in 2013, it must've been their second week open in July... Superstars or something, 2am, only about 30 people inside, probably all Brits staying in San An.

2012, the first time I ever went, for free, 12:30am the club was full as Rudimental were playing at 4am for the Ibiza Live night.

I think the Rudimental, Sigma kinda thing would be good for one of their nights.

Same 2 years ago. Full on night in eden/gatecrasher

Less than 20 people for last 1 hour of the night

they need Fuse or Art of Dark or Half Baked. the underground london nights that get big crowds... none of which suit that venue though
