Just got home in the early hours of this morning after my 2 week trip, one thing for sure is that the pours certainly ain't what they used to be, a long glass with the ice cubes added were only a quarter full with spirit, gone are the days when it was half full and almost too strong to drink............pretty sure I was of the same opinion last year.

Is this true in general?
I haven't been in Ibiza for years and I'm considering going in September. Drinks were always expensive but I put up with it because they were strong. If I have to pay even more and get much less I will definately reconsider.

^^^ depends where you go? the attitude of the person serving you at that given time. and your attitude towards them when ordering.

I agree. It does vary a lot. Usually at Space I find that you get a good measure if you find some of the friendly bar staff, tip a little first time and go back to them as much as you can. In Pacha, well, let's be honest most Pacha bar-staff haven't smiled for the last 10 years. This is an enforced policy, and I assume they would be fired if they so much as smiled or provided any form of customer service. In Pacha if you have a meal before, order Vodka there - they come in massive over sized wine glasses and VERY strong! The Funky Room also has nicer /more relaxed staff often. DC10 I find are pretty generous - again tip a little - as you are paying less - and they will reward you next time!

On a lighter note
Slightly off topic but still within thread limits?
Ibiza Airport Duty Free - Larios Gin 1 litre = 8 euros 50 cents (Mine lasted 3 days when we got home)

10 Euros for a 300 ml bottle of water is mental. But I guess they're it doing cuz of all the drugs going on and taking full advantage.

Like I said in my mini review of Ibiza, I just refilled my existing bottle at the washroom taps. I saw other people doing it too, talked to others about it who didn't have a problem afterwards doing it as well. The taste is a bit off but I didn't get sick... (Maybe I'll find out soon lol)
Nice one, save us a few euros on water in september....So no dodgey belly or on the bog all next day then?

No. People would binge drink, get too drunk and make the clubs look like something from the north of England. The alcohol prices in my view work (controversial view I know) by ensuring that some 19 yr kid doesn't down 10 vodkas and vomit over the place! It's water that should be €5!
Damm ..So does that mean i cant bring my whippet and ware my cloth cap in DC 10 if i want. hehehe

got back a week ago, done radio 1 weekend.

Friday @ Ushuaia was €7 a Heineken but for creamfields on the Saturday was €14 incredible but I was thirsty so didn't mind.

went up for a round 3 vodka red bulls and 3 waters €68, half hour later the same round was €76, when I questioned this she says sorry no English, this is defo the downside to Ibiza by far I mean come on they already have us lubed up ready to pump us silly without blatantly ripping us off.

What a magic holiday absolutely magic
