Does Ushuaia still do them Mojitos at the bar near the back for €15? All I ever drink there tend to be really strong.

Hope so that's all I drunk when I was last there , bought a bottle of Heineken and after a couple of minutes holding the bottle the beer was warm so thought the mojito was the smart answer with all the ice in it

Just saw an article in Mixmag about the crazy prices being charged for bottles of water in the clubs this year. Who's the worst offender (Pacha?, Amnesia?) and where is the best value ?

best value for water is dc10 = 5€. then comes eden = 6€. the vast majority is 8-10€ for a bottle of water though.

See the real problem with 10€ bottle of water is that for the extra 3€ you can justify getting a beer instead when you know you should be drinking water, i myself am guilty of this on a few occasions, but always eventually will mix in a water.

this ^^^ the amount of times mates have asked me to buy them a water and i've come back with a beer because it was a couple of euros extra!

Definitely agree. I've mainly drank alcohol the past few times as it seems a no brainer which the price is so similar.

Although at Pacha, the 15 euro G&Ts (which must be at least quadruple measures) got the better of me.

10 Euros for a 300 ml bottle of water is mental. But I guess they're it doing cuz of all the drugs going on and taking full advantage.

Like I said in my mini review of Ibiza, I just refilled my existing bottle at the washroom taps. I saw other people doing it too, talked to others about it who didn't have a problem afterwards doing it as well. The taste is a bit off but I didn't get sick... (Maybe I'll find out soon lol)

you'll only get sick of drinking the tap water here if you've got a really sensitive belly. if you drink a few sips here and there nothing will happen. still I wouldn't recommend it, the taste is awful and depending on where on the island you drink tap water from, it's really not good for your health in the long haul.

I often drink a beer every now and then (not too much alcohol though) and I always have a bottle of water in my pocket. if I do a full night of clubbing I'd say I drink at least 3-4 bottles of water if not more. especially in july and august when it's really hot it's just too important to keep your body hydrated, no matter the price. if you can't afford the prices of water in the clubs don't come to ibiza (but I of course agree that the prices of water are silly expensive in almost all the clubs).

holiday in ibiza and drinking water from the tap (club?!). for me it sounds strange...
very good post stivi....

I get what you mean about how if you're not able to afford drinks then you shouldn't come at all, but personally I had to run some grimey movements like this due to being pickpocketed in my last few days. I probably would have bought more waters and drinks otherwise.

There is something grotesque about charging €10 for a bottle of water, is it too much to ask for clubs to charge an inflated price (€5 - €6), make a handy profit but not totally rip people off. Would be great if 1 or 2 clubs apart from DC 10 took a stand on this and they subsequently gained huge support from the public hence working in their favour in the long run.

I agree 5€ for a bottle of water should be enough. dc10 charges 5€. eden 6€. not sure about es paradis, but the rest of the clubs still charge way too much.

Not sure if they still do, but one of the clubs (Pacha I think?) used to sell water in glass bottles with the top off, so you couldn't even dance with it!

I tried drinking the tap water years ago when I first started visiting Ibiza in my early 20s and had less money. It was disgusting and difficult to keep down. We even tried water purifying tablets but they didn't make it much better (and were a hassle!).

Someone told me that the water in Privilege is ok to drink as it has its own spring.
