We had our daughter 8 weeks ago and can safely say it's the greatest things to happen to me.
Yes it's a big change but something I'm glad we decided to do.
I'm still being allowed a bit of freedom .... get to see Moby on Wednesday
We all parent differently, I agree having a child is amazing (and stressful sometimes I guess) but it doesnt have to completely change your life. Our son does everything a 'normal' 6 year old does but has grown up around the sound of dance music. Both my wife and I travel and still attend parties/festivals/Ibiza and he has been to a fair few.
