Do you remember your first time?

Sat down in Cala Tarida right now, a day before I come home feeling very sad I’m leaving the island again, and I was reminded of this thread.

I’ve been to Ibiza as a clubber, for my wedding and now as a father. And whilst the holidays have somewhat changed,since my first time here, I’m always aware of just how much I love this place. I feel like I’m at my best when I’m on this island and seeing my 2 year old daughter looking at the sunset in awe and then asking every day to go and see it really has put the icing on the cake. Sitting completely alone at 630am at the time and space sculptures as the sun came up gave me a bit of peace in my mind I haven’t had for a long time… I’ll always be very thankful I found Ibiza!

I don’t really know why I’m writing this. I just felt the need to try to capture how that despite my life changing a lot over the years , the island always pulls me back and the same love for it always exists! . My ultimate goal and dream is to find a way of being able to spend months here at a time with my family! Anyway, hope everyone is doing well. I’m off to enjoy a few last cañas and some lunch at 17 ( lovely Italian in Cala tarida for anyone who hasn’t been! )

You are not alone. I have gone single, coupled and as a father. The family Ibiza trips have been my favorite. 👍

I’m not sure I could have put it into words any better — Ibiza has that unique energy that stays with you, no matter how life changes. I’ve also found myself feeling more connected and at peace there, and it’s great to see how the island continues to mean so much to so many, in different phases of life. Thanks for sharing this — it was a lovely read. Enjoy the last bit of your time there!

Thank you! Enjoying the last hours as much as ever but with one eye on a trip back in August / September! Can’t be gone for long!
