DJs that used to be good (but lost it)

where are they now?

Lottie
Alistair Whitehead
Daniele Davoli
Jon ‘00’ Fleming
the Space Raiders
Nigel Benn
Could add Jeremy Healy from that era. Not sure he ever had it through! Michael Jackson hasn’t really helped Jeremy’s cause over the years!

Tbf, I find joof to still be listenable and he’s stayed true to the cause.

There are a whole bunch of dis from that time that have seemingly just disappeared. Like a lower league professional footballer, it must be hard to create a new career for yourself in your thirties and forties.

Sadly I have to agree. Was at Hyte Amnesia sep 17, after Chris Liebing he came on. Lost the crowd in the club room, abit meh.. did not help he played with uneven / low volume.
Tenaglia followed liebing? That’s just rank bad programming.

just a theory but I think a lot of the DJs who pinned their colours to the prog mast didn't really adapt that well to new fads when prog died off in the early 2000s whereas the guys (mostly Yanks) who specialised in uncompromising house/techno had loyal and often obsessive fanbases to fall back on. Out of the British ones, perhaps only Sasha and Cox really had that kind of global following. Am maybe generalising but I think the people who always did things their own way in techno eg Dave Clarke, Weatherall, Mills will never drift into obscurity because they don't rely on any kind of hype.

Yes and Danny T like deep dish hopped on the S&D twillo train when they were massive in America.. and never came back..

Solomun has always dropped some crap into a set. Sankeys 2012 he played Master Blaster by some garage duo who's name I can't remember.

Was a good night up until that point.......

Still generally enjoy his sets though...
you mean this one?

I remember this one, of course this was a little bit crazy but I totally enjoyed this moment :)
Why so serious ???

London UKG guys who dropped it like a hot stone for the funky house wave - what happened to all of them? (May be a bit of Londoncentric post, but I miss the smell of crack on The Yacht at Temple Pier on a Sunday morning:lol:)

The night was getting on a bit and the track just killed the vibe a bit.....

Wasn't even a good tune when it came out. Plenty more fire garage tunes he could've chosen from....

Same People-Dangerous

Eddie Halliwell has pretty much disappeared apart from the odd classics set here and there. They must hit a peak and then it’s downhill from there.

Fergie...his residency at Godskitchen Amnesia we’re off the scale..Hard house then ventured to techno>Now living in vegas playing EDM drivel..

Sold his soul to earn loads of money, as long as he can live with that. I would rather earn a good wage still playing decent music.
