The closing party will take place on October 6th or 13th, not sure what's the date yet, Sept. 9th was meant to be the date when the club were to be closed by the authorities if I am not mistaken...

Anyway you can get tickets everywhere around the island, that's the last thing you need to be worried about right now hehe...

theres a text message circulating around announcing a march on august 4th (7pm in vara de rey) to protest for the recent closures :!:
as expected, the disco association of the balearics has announced through an official note on today's diario de ibiza and ultima hora (probably el mundo too) that they dont support the march because dc10 doesnt have the right licences and, even if they have been denounced several times by them and fined by the authorities, it has continued working clandestinely as a club :!::!:

on a curious note:
· mention to the march on spotlight - june 25th (one day after the text was sent)
· mention to the march on IV - july 18th
only 23 days later. well done, you are improving . . . . .
according to the local tv (tef), the pro-dc10 march of this afternoon only attracted around 200 people..... keeping in mind we are at the beginning of august thats a complete disaster :!:

(specially if we compare it for example with the thousands and thousands and thousands of ibicencos that marched, in winter, against the motorways)

absolutely pointless as expected. theres no turning back..... in 2011, when we will have elections again, nobody will remember what an after hours was ! !

only 200 people? oh dear.....
 legal process against the people behind the pro-afters march
"the march was illegal as they didnt ask for an authorization"

i think we'll have two more circoloco sessions left this year...and probably ever. monday, september 1 and monday, september 8.

yesterday was great again. tania vulcano, whom i normally don't rate that much, delivered a great set and luciano, who closed the terrace, was again the master of them all... (it's a luciano week in here, he plays monza on thursday, pandemonium on friday and he's even rumoured to play on wednesday night...as a surprise guest at a party...in the north)

thats too bad.. I guess I'll see no more DC10 again since i'm getting there so late.

Nostrum, is there a source which confirms this?

The closing party is listed as October 6th in the party celandar, and I know you guys dont just put up parties on the board without a confirmation from the club.

Whatsup? Can someone provide an update? Thanks

I know that but it says something else on the party calendar that's why I'm askin...

Now that Space is closing on the 5th DC10 has no point to close on the 13th, DC10 always closes after Space...

 new legal process against dc10 the same day of its reopening
"dc10 surpassed again its legal cappacity, 68 people, during its reopening party last weekend and caused noise problems, the same reasons that provoked the closing of two months. the san jose town hall opened another legal process for the same reasons which could end up with a fine of 600.000€, double than the previous one. also, they could close dc10 for a year (.....). the previous closing dictated from the town hall will start from september 9th"

"thanks to the elimination of the after hours they had to attend to less people, but this weekend, just after this vunue opened, they already noticed the increase"
from the ibiza sun:

Opening Night Fines
Controversial club, DC-10, hit the headlines once again last week as the Town Hall announced it had been cautioned twice since its re-opening on Friday 15th August. The club has recently served a two month ban for drug offences dating back to 2005, but which were only enforced this summer. Having served out the ban, the club re-opened for business last Friday, and was immediately cautioned twice by the local police.
The first was issued for surpassing the capacity of the bar, which currently stands at just 67 people. Although officers were unwilling to reveal the number of party-goers inside the building at the time of the caution, it is not uncommon for the club to entertain as many as 3,000 revellers.
The second caution was issued because the establishment does not have the necessary licenses to run as a discotheque, something which it has done since its opening.
The Town Hall already has several denuncias open against the club, and back in June ordered the club to pay a fine of €300,000, as well as closing for one year. The owners appealed against these orders and everything is now in the hands of the judicial system.
Councillor Paquita Ribas claimed the closure of DC-10 was one of the main reasons the number of drug cases had dropped so spectacularly during 2008, adding that on its re-opening the A&E department at Can Misses noticed an increase in activity.
Sources at the hospital confirmed they had attended far less cases involving drug overdoses this year, which they put down to the closure of illegal after-hour parties, as well as the effectiveness of the medical services provided within the nightclubs by private companies.

A pneumatic boat arrolla a bañista on a beach in Formentera

A man of little more than 30 years, a native of Castellon, was rolling yesterday by a pneumatic boat on the beach at Cavall d'is in Borràs, Formentera, while swimming. The bañista suffered heavy bruising on the right side that left him tied up in the water and being repeatedly complained during his transfer to the port of Savina, but never lost consciousness. The crew of the boat pneumatic auxilió immediately and accompanied the wounded to the emergency services who came to evacuate. According to rescuers, the accident occurred outside the bathing area beacons and restricted to navigation

"two groups of youngsters that had a fight outside dc10 encountered again in the hospital to be attended for their different injuries. the hospital itself had to call the policia local around 4am due to the fight going on outside"

conversation this morning while having breakfast at the table next to me between three guys checking the ultima hora:

· have you seen this? dc10 in the news again
· yes..... this place only attracts the worse of the worse
· they should close it down
