Definitely get healthy doses of proper trance at Cream. My experiences the past couple of years have been excellent as the EDM/Trouse flavor is rather absent on the PvD nights. The Anjuna nights with Above & Beyond can be a slightly different story.

Indeed. In the last 20 odd years, cream is the night I've attended most. And I've seen it so full that the crowd have litreally burst out of the fire exit doors in the main room. But I haven't been for a couple of years and the last two times were for pvd's trouse and a and b's edm. So it's great to hear they are back on track. Sadly I won't be there for cream this year as Thursday isn't on my schedule. But maybe next year. God knows what it will take for trance to be sufficiently popular again to warrant more than cream to have a night. The classics night at Eden and tropi are not where proper, up front, underground hypnotic grooves are at imo.
 
I went this week. Although Cream isnt 100% my taste these days (used to love trance but not so much now) and i find it a little cheesey, it's a great night out and is always reliable and there was a good crowd this week. Busy enough to feel full but plenty of room to move and dance. It suits amnesia well, and there was a good mix of classics and new stuff this week. Ferry was a bit hard for me but PVD was decent and we liked the house room a lot. Hard to argue with hearing Robert Miles in Amnesia :)

I was with my best friend who was in Ibiza for the first time, aged 38 and he absolutely loved it.
 
Anyone any ideas as to who will be doing the Float Your Boat Anjunabeats Takeover boat party before Cream on 31st August? Can see Grum is down for the week before but nothing listed for that one!

Does anyone happen to have the DJ set of Paul van Dyk from the Cream Closing Party Part 2 of this year or any Cream party with him this year? :)
 
I for one love cream. I know majority of big club nights are House and techno now but trance is what originally drew me to ibiza and, for me, ibiza will always be the island of trance. I usually do cream, connect and used to do AVB nights but he's a little to commercial for me now. Wish the island would do more Trance nights. If it's house then it's deep house for me. Used to like Carl cox's night's but not really a techno fan at all tbh
 
Yeah, I wanted to hear some melodies and uplifting sounds so decided to go to Cream on my first night out and enjoyed it a lot. Crossed off seeing PVD in Ibiza. I also saw Ferry Corsten and Aly and Fila but came too late and missed Jordan Suckley.

The crowd was fabulous, really friendly.

I made that mistake missing Jordan Suckley too!! There's always next year :D

I'm not too familiar with his work or from any other more recent trance guys, but was curious a bit cuz I've seen him getting booked a lot. As it is in Ibiza, I get so lazy maybe becuase of the island nature of things and end up going to events at the cutoff time for guestlists. Everything gets so much slower there where in Toronto I'm trying to rush for things!

Oh and Fatboy Slim was also playing too the same night lol

Sadly trance is well out of fashion and has been for a while. Other nights have been tried but haven’t worked for some time on a regular basis. Cream does well to survive and I haven’t been for a couple of years because the main room had become a trouse and edm fest led by the djs you mentioned.

Get yourself over to tropi on the West End. Sounds terrible but it’s actually brillliant. Classics before midnight and two pints for 5 Euro. More underground tunes after midnight.
