Loss of smell and taste here combined with lethargy and a headache this morning. Had a test done a few hours ago so hopefully find out tomorrow.

This is while in the past couple of weeks I’ve probably exercised the most caution since it all started in March!
Fingers crossed for a negative result. Rest up and take it easy x

We are we supposed to be applauding a “China state-affiliated media” representative here? The same government currently locking up and detaining Uighur Muslims? Potentially up to 1 million. But hey, if they slap Farage down then it’s a good laugh.

Jesus that is one hell of a leap isn’t it?

Hopefully you have a mild one. The loss of smell and taste is horrible

All the best Lee.

Sounds a convincing case.

My smell and taste came back in about 10 days. Brutal.

I recommend Scotch Broth soup, the range of textures was delightful during that phase.

I honestly don't think they want the Nightclub industry back, many are owned by shady characters and at best there's always been a bit of a 'cash going under the till not in it' culture going on which the taxman doesn't like. Similar but less organised is the DJ and events industry. Add in the late night policing, street cleaning etc and im not sure any of it brings in much money to the treasury. They'd be happy with Pubs shutting at 11 again.

And hours after I wrote this just seen Kuda (formerly Gallery) in York has closed :(

may not have been the epicentre of Dance music, but I wonder how many got into the genre on a good nightout in these clubs. Like wise acoustic bars for Rock and Indie. Student unions for Punk etc

That’s good, but I wonder what they are waiting for?

bureaucracy...and christmas I guess. also, they did say they want most of the EU countries to start doing the jabs on the same day (or around the same day) so I guess there's quite a big logistical operation ongoing to actually transport all those doses to the countries and from there to all the vaccination centres.

500,000 now had their first dose here in the UK. Read that some sites are opening and will be vaccinating on Christmas day
At that pace it will take over 2 years to vaccinate the whole population (or 1 year if they are only planning to vaccinate say 50%). I assume (hopefully) that the intensity and numbers of vaccinations will increase over a period of time!

Indeed it will. Once the Oxford/AZ vaccine comes online it will enable the opening of mass vaccination sites as the storage requirements are nothing like the extremes of the Pfizer jab.
