Much better off training at home if you have the space and equipment, I tried out bannatynes for a few months pre lockdown (albeit my garage is already fully kitted out) but wouldn't go back as its a pain waiting for people to to finish curling in the squat racks:rolleyes:

I tend to like home gym as can train for longer (with little mid break), amenities near by (good cuppa ?) and so on.

My David lloyd is quite small and lacks a lot of equipment (seem to get less every year) and most of it is falling to bits (over 6 years old most of it).

Plus can train in pants at home ?

As for covid, the D614G mutation might be what has been talked about before. Possibly milder but x10 more infectious. (Its been around since feb though ?)

Training in your pants ??

I can just imagine the reaction of the staff at David Lloyd’s if you turned up in your pants ?

I think it's currently touch and go as to whether Sp will return to the spring regime. so people are making the most of the summer, supporting local and resigned to whatever comes next. my attitude to things has changed a lot. embrace whatever music there is. don't be too picky about anything. each day could be the last. it all really depends on people pulling together and following the rules and not being smart arses otherwise we're in this for a long time...

Woken up with the mother of all sore throats and a cough! Other than that I feel totally fine. Off to get tested later today! Hopefully it’s not Covid!
Typical, I was meant to start a job doing long hours today which meant decent money!!
Ah well!!!
?

just a note to everyone. always google every bit of information you see or read when trying to make up your own mind about this situation.

a quick search reveals that the doctor mentioned in the video posted by elrowlovers is strongly affiliated to the far right party vox. there may well be truth to what he says, i don't know, i don't have the facts. but everyone has an angle. don't take anything as gospel because you agree with it. use your own judgement.

Had 2 mates who have had tests with results returned in less than 24hrs.
I’m hoping for the same with a negative result obviously. Never had a day off work due to a cough and sore throat until today!
Crazy times!!!

Fingers crossed for ya. If is positive let's hope only mild for you. Also they will probs get in touch to find your contacts for last 3 days or so (when most infectious). Let's see how good/crap test and trace is ?

Ps: might want to consider taking 1/2 asprin (so 1/4 dose says on pack) a day as anti inflammatory and reduces risk of clots. Of course if on other meds or have medical advice otherwise. ?

Thanks for the heads up re aspirin etc and your concern. I Will wait for the result before I think about anything! I’m sure it’s just a sore throat and cough but who knows!
Hopefully we won’t find out about test and trace!!!!!! If I do end up positive I’ll let you know the dance on that front.

as expected, no good news to report from ibiza sadly.

we've gone up to active 436 cases (87 more than on friday) and the bad news within these numbers is that we've now got 26 people in hospital, of which 6 in ICU.

the balearic health guy is openly saying we are in the midst of a second wave now.

Is there any info on demographic breakdown of infected/needing treatment?

Do they know the sources of infection? Ie. If tourists then at least in winter will hopefully be fewer incidents.

Not good news though.

Btw what was the actual process of getting tested? Is it fill in a web page and get told to go through a drive in test centre at particular time?
