new rules for the balearics, as far as I understood to go into effect tomorrow (I'll confirm when I know for sure, but mrs armengol said it'll be in the BOE which comes out each day, so in effect at midnight tonight)

flights and ferries restricted to:

- one flight per day, company and direction between the islands
- one flight per day, company and direction between ibiza, valencia, barcelona and madrid
- private flights (national AND international) prohibited
- ferry connections between islands and to/from mainland also limited to a minimum of departures. formentera - ibiza just three connections a day.
 
Not a good idea to go to supermarket
NO more Noodles rices and i nearly had a fight with bloke with middle east (a pledge in France tbh and im not racist ,the colleague that get évicted a few months ago because shouting as a mad threatening an old woman in the open space had M.E roots,the former that look trouble with me (i didnt shout among people when he he yell at me,i just send sms to my manager Get him OUT! ?)and evicted 3 years ago,same..some truth are not good to tell or can hurt) when queuing in order to enter.
I ask the guy to shove a little bit (after hesitating 5mn)as he didnt respect the 1m distance and was talking loudly with his cellphone (spitting risk)
I didnt step to his level insulting him but just told him not to play the fool of im gonna kill U
For god sake he didnt punch me otherwise ill beat him to death but just claim to make a jab, i guess testing me and saw my moves( I m left right handed ☠) but he didnt dare to touch.
Sorry im peaceful guy but no mercy to the scums playing the rooster ?
No balls otherwise he ll experience my fury, but keep on insulting shouting.? i shut my mouth in order not to end by a fight
Some time to kill and relaxin banging on my Darbuka drums ✌?
Ps:best ever spotlight mate is from U.A.E but cant put on same bag as those scum..

Iv been on annual leave since Wednesday (just as shit started to hit the fan here) but back to work tomorrow the show must go on (nhs)

I am the eternal optimist. I still think the summer will be salvaged. I don't see governments world-wide forcing a economic depression to stop the virus (as its been described, at least). Not saying its not serious ... only time will tell. The 'flatten the curve' idea is fine until you realize that we would need to maintain restricted movements for (many) months. How many regular people can support themselves without working that long? We will see what happens in China as they start the factories back up this month. They were shut down about two months. I suspect people will get sick again, but they wont go back on lock-down for a 2nd time.

Realistically, it will be a slow year in Ibiza. Even if things open up for mid-May or June, most people will be to scared to travel or not have the resources after spending the previous two months (under)employed or with their own shop closed.

Maybe (just maybe) for those that make the trip it will be a classic Ibiza summer of yore'. Smaller crowds and lower insta-to-freak ratio, and all that.

The factories in China were open after a one week delay to Chinese NY. They have and are operating in lockdown. People travel to work then home.

That is potentially the future for the UK and Europe for the foreseeable future, right through the whole summer season.
 
Still at work, electronics manufacturing factory full of 180 people and business goes on as normal as it can.

Interestingly our Supply chain throughout from China which is vast has been moderately impacted with only minor delays and maybe one cancelations to a whole site going down.

Challenge now is dealing with the confusion regarding the self isolating guidelines and peoples general fears and anxieties.

Expecting significant absenteeism and probably our biggest risk.

You'd have to worry about the UK and the approach they are taking. Pubs are packed there and they're even running half marathons ffs. Could be a huge spike sooner rather than later :(

Really hard to tell what way this is going to go.. Even if we get it under control and reduce the lockdown who's to say it won't come storming back.

The things we take for granted. You would just wish everything was back to normal.

It’s reflective of a conservative government approach. More advice, less tell. However as a UK resident I am not seeing what you are suggesting. That isn’t to say the streets and businesses are deserted because they aren’t. A number of businesses are now mandating staff to work from home. Government advice is frequently changing day by day. We are quite some way behind Italy, France and Spain. London is much more affected than other parts of the UK. I’ve been holed up in London with work for four days so I’m very much looking forward to hot footing it back to yorkshire in half an hour.
