here are a few personal impressions of my walks/runs so far since we got the OK for those last saturday.
generally, people are currently abiding to the rules in an exemplary fashion I think. I've not seen any big groups anywhere and the vast majority of people do respect the 'no subathing, no swimming' rule, even if it's really inviting. on the first day in the morning a few teenies couldn't resist, but that's about it.
especially in the evening slot (8pm to 11pm) and depending where you live and where you go, there are lots of people out in the streets and also on the beach to walk. it's understandable though, in a normal case people would either have been outside earlier in the day to excercise or then, and far more so, lots of those people now walking, running or cycling, would usually be somewhere on a terrace of a restaurant having a few cañas with their friends. but since that's still a no-go, everyone goes walking.
out in the street (let's say in the open) and on the beach only a very small percentage is wearing a mask. but as you go closer into a village and you get to shops and such, that percentage goes up rapidly and in the supermarkets it's almost at a 100%.
right now, people (very much including me) resist the urge to hug and kiss their friends. this morning I've seen three of them on my walk and we spoke at a 2m distance for a bit. it's weird, but it's encouraging to see that so far, people seem to understand it's what we should do.
now, IF ibiza goes into phase one next monday (I think we will) and thus terraces can open again and up to 10 people can meet, that's when it'll start to get interesting and I just wonder how long society will be able (or willing?) not to hug and kiss everyone to say hello. it's the most normal and standard thing here so it's gonna be hard for some. obviously, the longer we can resist that urge the better and maybe we're lucky and don't get any early spikes again.
more later in the other thread when we get numbers.
