Interesting that you enjoy Zip and Ricardo but not the Arpiar crew. Sonja for me is hit or miss, she can be really on point and deliver or a bit dull in my opinion. I've seen her play with Zip most recently in Brooklyn and she was absolutely on fire. I've also seen her at Cocoon last season and was a bit of a bore for me, so I think its a bit of a roll of the dice. If its not too expensive i'd give it a shot if nothing better going on.

I know what you mean, I just find that Zip & Ricardo play a wider range of music, and know how to break the tension of the set with some melodic stuff too, while the Arpiar crew are a bit more serious, and never break from the minimal sound (from the sets I've listened to).

So, I ended up going, and tbh I didn't really feel that night. I got there about 45 minutes into her set, and was surprised to see she was playing digital when she had two very full vinyl bags with her, but was told there were some technical difficulties in the begining, so she couldn't play vinyl, so I suppose that probably affected her set a lot.
Guess I'll have to try and catch her at Cocoon in a couple of weeks, which will be hard if she plays the same time as Sven.

Cocoon on Monday was honestly one of the best I've ever done out here, and I've done plenty. I arrived early (around 1am) as I am here with the misses and wasn't sure how late she would last being an Ibiza virgin.
Sven was warming things up nicely but continued to build things up steadily as he always does. Track selection was faultless and atmosphere/crowd on the terrace was excellent and he was still going strong when we left around 5.
We caught a small part of Rodhad too and from what I saw I was impressed.
For the closing Sven will play the terrace as he has done for the past few years

Stivi, whats the latest youd chance turning up for cocoon closing.... a) with a ticket and b) pay on the door (if even possible)
And also when you refer to a presale ticket do you mean bought online like yourselves etc or do presale include tickets wrote out at hotels, ticket booths etc on the island?

the full line up is just out now
terrace - ricardo, luciano, alex & digby
main - adam, tini, dorian paic
5am (but I'd never turn up that late) with a pre sale ticket (bought no matter where) or 6am pay on door...but again, latest I'd go personally is 3am really.

Sven will be starting to get into the filth around 3am so arriving at 2am and getting into the end of the warm up is my plan for closing

it was quite empty last week at the terrace when Sven played his all night long, especially at Sven-prime-time from 5 onwards! was ist just because of September or is cocoon suffering a bit this year?

don't worry about cocoon, it's been ok now for many years plus this year cocoon closing is literally only hours after space closing so many may be too tired ;-)
for music on - now that will be a different story ..
