It is immense and makes me regret my dumbass decision to book my trip starting from the 16th. Like i'm not doing anything before then! crossing my fingers

Ricardo Villalobos is one of the guys I wanted to catch at Amnesia so I'm happy about the 22nd booking, but the booking on the 15th seemed slightly better with Ame being live, Scuba, and Beyer & Engberg. TBH I don't know who Zip or Somja Moonear are but there's been a lot of praise with them so I'm willing to check em out. I mean, I've seen Ame and Beyer B2B with Engberg before so it's good to see some new artists that don't usually tour around that often. I know my home city of Toronto hasn't gotten these artists ever.

Saying that, I am a bit wary Ricardo...he came to Toronto last year and was supposed to do an all vinyl set with DJ Sneak but the club f-d up with the equipment or something so they had to use CDJs I think and the whole thing was a mess. I wasn't personally there, so this is all from third party reports so I don't know how accurate this is. I hope he delivers at Amnesia, his production work is some twisted shit for sure and I like the sets i've heard that have been made available on the internet. He just needs to lay off the shrooms/acid LOL.

Does anybody know how long Sven will play for if he's listed as playing "all night long"?? I know this guy will deliver... he played a solid 2.5 hour set last year so I'm stoked to see this guy again in this proper setting of Amnesia!
 
nobbie, if sven is listed for an all night long then it normally works like this:

sven 12-3
live act 3-4
sven 4-close

as for villalobos, he's always a box full of surprises...it can be great... or not that great.

Zip should hopefully bring the best out of Ricardo musically. And stivi will know for sure but probably Sven open till 3/3.30... Then ten walls for an hour or so... Then Sven takes over again from 4.30 onwards.... So about 6/7 hours of Sven

Thanks, but Nina Kraviz is not a live act. Shes just djing. Would the same timings applied for her? Thanks man
 
ah sorry I was referring to the wrong date. on a 'normal' date when sven isn't listed as 'all night long', the other DJ usually starts at midnight and plays until about 3am, then väth takes over and plays until close. there were very few exceptions to this when sven opened up and the guest DJ played after him. cocoon usually announce settimes on the day itself so you know what's what

Thanks. But if Sven IS listed as all night long (like he is for the 22nd) then what are timings like? Sorry for all the Qs, just wanna know what to expect!

sorry that was a mistake - I apologize. on 22nd he's not playing an all night long set. he does on 15th and 29th june, where only a live act interrupts him for an hour (normally from 3-4am circa). on 22nd, I'd say nina opens and sven takes over at 3am more or less.
