Went to two cocoons this week and the week before.. Attendance have not been good for both. In my opinion i think that ricardos set was better than sven. Sven closed @ 7.30 last year at around 9 and carola closing @ 9.30 last friday.
I think officials at amnesia have been telling sven to close early and both were arguing for like 5-10 minutes after he stopped.
Couldnt feel the cocoon vibe as previous years.

i missed the one with ricardo, but I was there on monday night. attendance not good? both floors were perfectly busy from 3am onwards. of course cocoon's heyday is years ago and if you compare it to how busy music on is, then cocoon's definitely not packed. but the above statement is simply not true.

Yeah i get you comparing with music on attendance is not in cocoons side.
Yeah maybe because i was expecting more people to be out there

Regardless IMO you just can't beat a Cocoon party at Amnesia. I do like MusicOn and will be attending that too during my visit, but it just doesn't have the same vibe, crowd or quality of music as Cocoon.

Back in late 00s when Cocoon was so busy (have to be honest only did it a few times back that) that your feet would leave the ground everyone moaned that they never enjoyed it! For me Cocoon and MusicON are still totally different. I find Cocoon very enjoyable now - less people, but never 'quiet' and I think the choice of DJs this year is better than previous ones!
The sets are longer than a lot of other nights, the crowd is less in your face than MusicON, and I still think the Circo/Cocoon duo gives you a damn good combo-night. MusicON is just NOW. It's time is now and as a result it's packed and busy and everyone wants a piece this year. I had a blast last week, but its a night you have to totally be ready for, up for and in the 'zone' to enjoy.
Personally I don't think this will be Cocoon's last year, but look to others who are closer to the facts for an opinion....

attended 2 cocoons 2 enters 2 music on - paco osuna played the best set for me at the second music on.
on the other side, the dj's before the ricardo and sven for cocoon - sonja and tini - did okay, i think that sonja was not that lucky in her set, whilst tini played some better music.

Woah... that sounds like an incredible after hours. I'm over for the Sven "all night long" session on Monday September 7th. He's always tended to through an after hours when he plays all night long - just hoping he does a proper out of hours.
sven played till 8 o'clock in the main, and only rough, full-on TECHNO from first to last track, except for the very last two tracks which were xtc by koze and lil louies french kiss.
