Clockwork Orange 2018

A shame the majority of the same crowd wouldn’t go to a club with music being played from the present day. I get the nostalgia thing, but listening to nothing but old music over three days year in year out?

Much as I like and follow new music, I think much of the best music has already been made. Plus old music can be 'new' music if you've never heard it before. There should be more nights celebrating old music or more eclectic music in Ibiza (and I mean in accessible clubs/bars rather than in venues that are out of the way).

I went Es Paradis 2015 and Sankeys 2016 but didn’t managed last year as went a different month and missed this years as going out in September. Both Years I went it was quality. So many happy smiling people. How was Oakenfold last night? The videos I saw he looked like he was superb and played a proper old Housey set

For me his set didn’t fit after Tall Paul & Seb had smashed it but on another day it would’ve been proper. Tried to get round to the seal pit for JB but it was chaos!

Oakenfold played a shocker and killed the floor in minutes unfortunately, as has been said before, his set was just too downbeat and didn't fit in at all. The rest of the day was fantastic, I was with a Clockwork virgin and we loved every minute of it. Great to see Es Paradis packed again and kudos to them for helping out when my phone died with our tickets on. As I'd bought them on Spotlight the door manger was able to look them up on the system with my name and let us in, no problem.

I love some present day stuff but clubbing in the UK isn’t really an option for me... or it’s incredibly rare. It’s a few days of sunshine, great music/nostalgia and the chance to misbehave away from the kids for a long weekend. I had an absolute f***ing ball

I get that part, I don’t get out as much these days also and the highlight of my raving calendar is still Ibiza. I just prefer experiencing something new and fresh with a mixed crowd. I think if more of this crowd went to other nights, the island would be a better place by educating other people.

There are still tracks produced each year that fall under classic. Very few, but certainly not a case of all the best music already being made. I love hearing some of the less obvious older tracks mixed in.

I am sure I would have a blast as a one off, not denying that all and would never doubt it, it would bring back lots of great memories. Give me that crowd and new music.
My mate played a 2 hr set new stuff mixed with some classics

I don’t want to go on a 4 hr tech journey , the crowd do make the party

They could play Chaz and Dave at a clockwork doo and it would still go off

I'm with you on this, Oakenfold played a set more suited to well earlier in the day and cleared the place. Thought the Benimussa event was good but the music didn't do it for me this year.

Ended up stumbling into the Pirate too, not sure he could understand my Irish brogue tho

Made it to Es Paradis but was a busted flush by that stage and only lasted an hour.

Roll on the beach party...

Could Es Paradis do something with Clockwork Orange all season without damaging the lure of this weekend?

Just seems bizzare that the club is packed to the rafters for this and is then dead as a dodo all summer.
