. With the number of high profile DJs and established club nights booked to Bomba the likelihood of it not opening on account of any licencing issues is very slim indeed. Even if there had been a last-minute hitch things would have been done to ensure it opens as planned, I'm pretty sure of it. So I doubt there will be any credible gossip about thwarted new openings in this quarter to be fair.

Probably best to sit back and wait to see what the venue beings to the scene.

I passed Bomba this week and on the outside there is absolutely no sign that any work is being done to the club.
Huge contrast with the Ushuaia Tower Hotel where even at 8 in the morning the place was buzzing with builders.

ps: there is kind of a license stuck on the door of Bomba stating that the club has a capacity of 940...

No I am just a cleaner from the Phillapines who works at the clubs, cleaning, that's all, all the clubs compete in ibiza
And ibiza is full of clubs already,I wish success in every business in ibiza,I saw the paper and just hight lighted it when I was seeing what was on this season lol

even if bomba has/gets a licence it doesn't mean it will stay open. plan be had a licence last year and still got shut down. bomba is in a residential area whereas plan be was not so more reason to cause problems.

sorry, but even if plan be did have a licence, it was certainly not the correct one. apart from that it was (mostly) an open air venue and the music could be heard from afar. can't really compare this imo.

I briefly worked for them and understood it had the licence it needed, obviously not (plan be that is). You couldn't hear the music from that far. No more than you can at say Ushuaia, but thats ok i guess?!

do they have a website?

and...

why does it have to be called bomba?? in this day and age .... oh man. That is the only thing I don't like if I decide to party there this summer.
honestly.

just to inform you everything white is public, the red/pink is the booth and the blue green gold areas are vip tables, for eg where it says vip level 3 that means that on level 3 is a vip table not the whole level.
sorry if its confusing, our bad, but the reality is the club is 25% vip options and the rest general entry. also lets not forget just because someone likes vip style entry doesnt mean they cant have great taste in music. maybe we need to rename it entry option 1 and entry option 2. anyone who knows me knows i think everyone who comes to any of my events are a vip.

Going back to discussions about the layout, based on what Danny is saying, the entire level isn't roped off VIP. Its more like some clubs here in Boston, where there is a dance floor and then tables scattered about the dance floor. People are dancing all around the tables, but the VIP people are essentially "mixed in". There can be problems with this layout (like the VIP people feeling crowded out of their own table on a really packed night) but then there are problems with Pacha's layout too. In general, the more inclusive VIP areas, like many of the Vegas clubs, are more fun than Pacha's style, which makes going to the real dance floor or walking around essentially impossible. However, when you look at the pictures/renderings of Bomba, there seem to be glass dividers and it does seem like the VIP areas are 'separate' like in Pacha. Anyway, it would be good to know if it is mixed in, or segregated... not that I care since I will give it a try if there is a good DJ lineup.

As for the %VIP thing, I have my own opinions- honestly, even 'real' clubbers age, and reach a point where they don't want to be packed in like sardines, pressed up against some overly-drunk 19 yr old idiot that has no sense of dancing or common courtesy; and its at this stage that some of us say F-- it, I'd rather just pay for a table and give myself some room to dance. While I love the old club feel, I also love dancing and not being rammed in like a goddam number in some accountants book in order to extract that last bit of $per sq foot. So the VIP stuff does make sense in some regards. And its not all cocks up there (although there are a disproportionate number of them compared to the main dance floor, LOL) As an example, the only way my friend will drag me to Pacha on a popular night is if we go VIP.. it's not that much more expensive and it makes the whole thing tolerable (you can search for my review on here).. It also ups the number of females around by multitudes.

-ps- although it would be a shame for IBZ to move towards a Vegas club setup, where if you have a penis, you need a VIP table or a woman with you. Group of 2 or more guys with no chicks? No entry. Although I doubt this would ever materialize in IBZ.. But, I guess it does keep the 'ratio' up tho.
