Berlin is indeed an excellent choice for clubbing...especially in deep house & techno, tech-house and minimal...;)...the price level in restaurants and clubs is very moderate. In comparison to Ibiza georgeous...;).
The distance from Schoenefeld - Berlin Centre is about 10 miles. Depending where u wanna go.

1. from Schoenefeld airport to city centre it takes about 30-45 minutes by car. By tram or train i would say at most 30 minutes.
3. at restaurants you have to reckon about 20 € each person for dinner with berverages. it´s certainly different, if you like italian so i recommend Vapiano at Potsdamer Platz near Sony Center. it´s a self serve one, but very stylisch and not so high priced.

at clubs it is of course differnt too, but i think the highest price to pay is about 25 € (i´m not sure)
another advice to visit is oststrand, that´s sooooooo nice 8)

have fun and enjoy your trip (and don´t forget your umbrella, there isn´t ibiza-weather mid-October in Germany ;))

My favorite places in Berlin are the Cityparts "Kreuzberg" & "Friedrichshain". There is so much "Life" on the streets, the prices for food and entrance to any shows are in the lower ground. But there are also many small bars, they played music an also some days are playing DJ's for free entrance, not the really "Big Names", but really good ladys and gentelmen :p

"Maria am Ostbahnhof" is a great location, directly at the river "Spree", there are every weekend livegigs from Bands and also DJ's, last year there where Rob Birch from Stereo MC's. Sometime there are some beachclubs with DJ- or Livemusicsessions, like one in Friedrichshain, I don't know the name yet, it's behind a large bridge, possible "Lunas Strandgarten"?....

If you like to do some experiences beside: the "Liquidrom" ist very special, have a look on their www-side...

There soooo much to see and to do...., check it out

thanx for all of your info!!!
some more questions:
we'll be staying at Mitte.is this close to the landmarks and the nightlife(Berghain,Watergate) of Berlin???
are all the clubs situated somewhere together???

"mitte" is very good - not all, but many clubs in this area.
watergate+ berghain not far away !

berlin rules - amazing nitelife and so many things to see, history everywhere,
old stuff, new stuff, something is going on there somewhere 24hours ...
and you can have lots of fun without needing much money ... :)

Hi

Iam a Berliner. Its true! The best time to go out in the clubs is at one or two am. At this time you dont have to wait very long to get in. At 3am or later you have to stand in line for about one hour in Berghain or Tresor! The clubs are full to bursting from 3 till 6am!

one word to dresscode . . . There is no real dresscode, but try not to dress too colourful if you want to go to Berghain. Split your gang! The doorman is always in a bad temper and big groups of partypeople dont get in :)

have fun . . . Masterpitch

any good bars to hit before going to a club???preferably near to the clubs???

i can hear it!:p
more questions:
do the clubs sell laughing gas???
if we rent bicycles will it be convenient to visit most of the sights???
generally is it convenient to rent bicycles to move around???
