'Bed' club was demolished yesterday

I'm originally from Scunthorpe 8O so my pup-pess years were spend @ Back to Basics, Up Yer Ronson, The Music Factory, Hacienda etc.

i'm just a tad too young for those good ol' days but my wife was a manager at the pleasure rooms in leeds and PR manager for up yer ronson in ibiza c.96, so she's got a few stories to tell.

like u she quite often ended up @ the music factory or in mansfield

Did you ever do the Arches in Sheffield?

Best club i've ever been to in the uk.

There is a chance it may re-open.

My Pleasure Room days were 1992 onwards but I moved down to London Town in 1999 so my trips back up north are few and far between now and mainly just to visit family.
 
It's all about Leeds up North now....nowhere else outside of London with as much choice for clubbing 8)

Probably so. Don't know whats happened to Sheffield over recent years. We had the best clubs in the land 10 years ago.

There's just something i don't like about Leeds. Can't put my finger on it. There's nothing really of interest there (in general, not club wise). It has a few good shops, clubs, bars but that's about it.

I know, they are both beautiful buildings, I work across the road from Finsbury Town hall, currently derelict but a stunning victorian building :(

Yes it is.

Sorry i meant Abbeydale Rd, which connects to London Rd.

The city hall is a great building, just been refurbed too. They used to have club nights there e.g. Jive Turkey many years ago. Fantastic venue!

I love it there and have still only been twice.

I think it's quite hard to get a table on a weekend though.
