'Bed' club was demolished yesterday

On "that" subject, i remember once when Morillo was playing Bed, Corey took him out for dinner and tha before and when they got to the club they were both absolutely w@nkered on "that" and proceeded to play pretty piss poorly :lol: :roll:

Good news Nath!

Drove past there on Saturday and it appears the oriental fascade has been left untouched. Can't imagine what'll happen to it now though.

All the rest is gone. They've built a huge student village with 1100+ apartments right behind where Bed was.

I've become so London-ified :? :oops: I do love Northern clubs but we're so spoilt in London with line-ups plus more importantly late closings that I rarely go on roadtrips now..........plus I'm getting on a bit and can't be doing with spending half my wkend on the M1 :lol:

Similar to what Pupp's said. Get yourself up to The Plug - it's amazing!

Sheffield in general is going through a massive regeneration at the moment - you'll not recognise the place in 5 years. Our council reckons we'll have one of the best city centres in europe by 2010. The new £1bn retail quarter will be awesome.

It aint grim up north ;)

Yeah I know that but most London clubs have official closings of at least 7/8am, then aftershows, then after-aftershows etc so you start to get lazy when you've got everything on your doorstep and it doesn't involve hours in a car/hotels/check-out times etc.

We used to have the same late closing and lots of aftershows but all of a sudden they got stopped, probably due to the gangster element.

There are still secret venue's with late closings etc but i can't be arsed with it. I'd rather leave a club around 3/4am and go back home to carry on.

Plus, daylight is the enemy so i try and get home while it's still dark. Otherwise i start feeling paranoid and ruins the night.

Well I'm making my annual pilgrimage up north at Christmas so will be checking out Sheffield on the 27th.
 
sad to see bed/music factory go.............enjoyed some good nites there during my uni years in sheffield. its so weird how club venues come and go and change and evolve.

The Pleasure Rooms in leeds where basics and ronson used to rule is now home to the most shocking meatmarket/chav heaven venue you could ever imagine (called Heaven and Hell).
