'Bed' club was demolished yesterday

Basics when it was @ The Pleasure Rooms was a regular haunt in those days as well.

Despite it having a dodgy rep now, it used to be brilliant way back in the day.

DC10 lovers would have enjoyed it very much.
 
My post above was meant to ask were Saturdays at Bed 3/4yrs ago and inhouse promotion? Hence the question re DJs ya see.

I rememer being in there on at least one occassion when a shot was fired! It was bizzarre because there was loads of old dreads in there and all these students....

Ever go to the Man Alive? I may have posted about Alf and Dale who used to DJ there before. The blackest white men I ever knew! :lol:

Sorry, went off on a tangent.

Bed was owned by Gatecrasher who had big names most weeks.

Corey was a resident and is very good.

They'd usually have Subliminal/Defected/Underwater/Release Yourself type nights on most weeks with the odd more underground/residents nights in between.

did up yer ronson when it was @ music factory quite a bit, some of those nights were awesome, seen some of the greats there!!

then we switched our friday allegience to wolverhampton of all places :?

Up yer Ronson was another good one, cos I was only a young pup-pess at the time :lol: I was only really 'allowed' to Sheff/Leeds/Manc/Mansfield :lol:

Now when I go back up north everything seems shit these days :?

pre canal club altho I knew the guy that did it and all of his "fluffy" crew. We would start of in "the light bar" in the old chubb buildings and then go ver to "pimp" which was in a dive of a club called "picassos"

excellent nights though and the women 8O :twisted: 8O

I did enjoy the Canal club on our once only visit. We went to Wobble after. We were extremely 8O that night.

Did you ever do The Arches in Sheffield?

Best UK club ever! Fact!

thought that was who you meant. he was at an after party i went to once in sheffield with his girlfriend. was only a few of us there. can't quite remember how ended up there! he was a nice guy. v generous! :D
