I've been planning some kind of name for my Balearic stuff for a while now, and I thought I'd start it in the form of a mixtape. After a few gigs and sessions, I already have these for the rest of the year, but let's see how they get released. Brisa Balearica is the name of the series and here's the first part. If you're a radio person or curating guest mixes somewhere, I have some material ready. You can also come and listen to the music live at WOM Radio Cafe on the last weekend of September if you're in Ibiza.

Its a cracker...Felix Dickinson played this the couple of times I saw him in Tisnoa beast of a tune from New Zealand, slightly reminiscent of the early Innervisions years

yes, we were saying that...very versatile...often he'll be playing something on the lighter side with a big vocal and then slam something in with a dirty baseline. Great guy as well.

I was too young when he used to do Tonka in Brighton with Harvey but got to know him a bit later on when he was living in Brixton 2000s, doing all these dodgy warehouses, railway arches and stuff in that area and the music blew my mind. Much of it is a blur now but I do remember one thing he did where he got Larry Heard over to the Prince of Wales and that was pretty special
