ps Balearic Revival / Balearic Renaissance / Balearic Spirit / Balearic Reawakening / Balearic Odyssey or anything along those lines gets my vote. I think it should feature all elements of Balearic with music as the absolute base then perhaps photos old and new, books (already plenty on the book thread though), events, bars, restaurants, sunset spots (maybe keep some specials for the secret forum though) flyers, magazine articles, interviews and so on. I reckon it'll be another strong year on the island for all things Balearic and because of this long running thread we can be the modern day Ramplings and Oakenfold's and claim we discovered the whole thing in the first place. Onwards, Balearic assassins!

Well this Balearic Bastard just booked 5nts Easter break in San An/ PDT
was planning on staying in figueretas but decided on getting the most out of that Bastarding Balearic sun for the short time we're there..

I still chuckle about the last time I saw Alfredo at a little festie in Dorset about 5 years back. it was the final morning about 11am and people were still emerging from their tents feeling totally monged. we all gathered near the main marquee, sat around on haystacks, (the real dregs!) and the DJ before had been playing really soft ambient music, that kind of beatless mixmaster morris vibe and then Alfredo went on and we were all expecting more of the same with a more Ibiza twist. he starts playing really banging techno, classics like acperience and energy flash - at the time of the morning it felt a bit like chucking a cat in a bath, some people were traumatised, others really got into it, but it taught me a valuable lesson in never assuming anything!

some kind chap collated all the "mystery mixes" that appeared on DJH a few years back before the site went down. most of the tracks are deliberately obscure and there was a weekly nerd competition to try and id them all. a lot of the blanks have now been filled. some real gems on there.
