Babyshambles

and locking someone away for an addiction is archaic and in all likliehood will do no good whatsoever

how many times has he been in court for drug possession and got away with it because he's a "rock star" i guarantee you if this was a normal joe soap he would've been in jail an all by now, it's not glam or hip or take these filthy drugs i have had schoolfriends and people i know die from taking this poison therefore it gets to me when i see scum like Doherty swanning around thinking he's the bees knees off his head on this shi*, that skinny wrench Kate Moss is no better either!!!

go and listen to up the bracket 10 times over and come back and let me know what you think about his lyrics and music. thats all i'm talking about.

most of the all time legendary rock stars had drug problems, but its ok their dead so its alright to idolise them now??

well i think the same as this filth bag Doherty, he should be locked away.

I don't particularly like or dislike the bloke but you really have no idea do you - sending drug addicts to prison is the least likely method to rehabilitate them/get the off drugs. And our prisons are full to overcapacity as it is at the moment and personally I'd much rather see people who are a real danger to society locked up in these places than some crackhead who in the scheme of things is relatively harmless to everyone except for himself.

I'm assuming up the bracket is an album by Babyshambles? Personally i wouldn't' care if it's the best album ive ever heard it wouldn't change my opinion of him, if he would've dealt with his addiction and came clean and admitted he was very wrong to invite gullible teenage fans back to his flat to take these drugs then fair enough but he hasn't therefore i treat him with the contempt he deserves.

far more people deserving of prison

child murderers
paedophiles etc

Death is always a good career move. I'm sure if he did get run over by a speedball tomorrow he'd be instantly legendary.

Jonny68,

I'm sorry to hear about your friends. I think mine and mac's point is that the problems associated with hard drug use are exacerbated by the current system of imprisoning addicts.

I agree the typical media portrayal of drug users is unhelpful.

:idea::idea:

I've no idea :roll: trust me Barbie girl ive every idea what im talking about i grew up with this shi* all around me, this man should be in jail as he has been in court many times for drug possession and because he is in the public spotlight he gets away with it, should all junkies get away with it?

I never said send him to jail JUST BECAUSE he was a junkie i said because he has been up in court so many times it's wrong that he can get away with it and others don't, im all for rehabilitation to get addicts off this shi* but it seems Mr Doherty doesn't want to bother with that as he has already been and it ot obviously didn't do him any good.

Your narrow minded and one sided opinions are indicative that you really have no idea what you're talking about a lot of the time but please do continue because they're good for a laugh. Now why don't you go back to reading your Daily Mail or wherever else you get all your hard 'facts' from ;)

I don't disagree with you..your point being?

my point being

Prison is no place to get off drugs
Possession should not be a crime - selling and robbing to buy are the crimes associated with it
and as Barbie said
prisons are at bursting point as it is

Dear me is that supposed to be some sort of attack on me, i could launch into a scathing attack on how i have more intelligence in my little finger than you have in your head but i wouldn't waste my time if all you can do is trade insults.

Please stick to the argument and don't get personal Barbie.

:!::!:

but it seems Mr Doherty doesn't want to bother with that as he has already been and it ot obviously didn't do him any good.

he many attempts may show that he has his weaknesses but also that he is trying to beat his demons

and the fact that he has radical intrusive procedures to attempt to stop his heroin addiction shows that he is bothering

It's not supposed to be an attack, I'm just merely stating my point of view. Feel free to launch any scathing attack, seeing as you have never met me/know nothing about me I'm sure it will be as accurate and hilarious as all your other 'facts'.
