A Pond

..or like they did in the old days on blue peter, put a football in water so if there is ice you then take out ball leaving un-frozen hole for feeding and stuff! see it wasn't just about making cardboard box houses for action man!

you can´t melt thicker ice on a pond with hot water - would take hours if at all ...

i bought some electric stuff which said "ICEFREE til MINUS 20 DEGREES" -
first colder night that crap was frozen :lol:

hello pondlovers

Hard to believe it's been 4 years since I dug that beauty. It is now mature and teeming with life both animal and vegetable.

The frogs are sadly somewhat diminished by our new cat. He is a lively young chap who is very good at catching them. He leaves dead ones all over the lawn (plus the occasional dead or dying squirrel or pigeon too).
