Well, they are the main reason why I only go to 21 and up clubs out here. Once and awhile I will attend a massive, if the line up is amazing, but when I went to "How Sweet It Is," I was in HELL. I didn't have enough friends there so you get lost, and people hand you random CDs, try to convince you that you need a Red Bull...blah blah blah. And when the DJs suck, what point is there in going?

I sat in the corner like the anti-social I am. But my best experience out here was at a huge club (like Ibizan clubs) with Paul Van Dyk and everyone was 21 and up. GREAT vibe.

I was in St Andrews in 1998 - certainly weren't many cyberkids in that town! :)

You don't really get any of it in Ibiza, due to the main music being house....not trance.

There is still Cream and Armada. All that cyber paraphernalia might be a bit uncomfortable in the Balearic heat though.

It was never like that over here, they all dressed like that at clubs like 'Crasher and Gods, but they seemed to still all be into it.

I do not know about raving over there. It is more of a romantic getaway. If you can bring the we*d they will surely have some pastries to take care of the resulting effects. :lol:

Granted, I never actually used to come across any cybers in Scotland, must have been more of an English thing.

I've grown out of my trance days anyway, so anywhere I go now seems to attract a much better dressed crowd :lol: ;)
 
Well Laguna, mid cali towns like Solvang and Bakersfield are famous for their meth labs...I am sure we could see some crazy tweekers for fun and laugh after we indulge in the pastries

Unfortunately at these massives it doesn't matter if it is house or trance (granted trance shows see more candy kids), I think they just attend whatever because they don't care much about who is actually spinning. It is just another venue and reason to get dressed up and paint your face and take too many pills and throw up in the corner...

Agreed! If I remember right I think we were in the white isle at the same time (a few weeks ago). There were some pretty crazy outfits on the space terrace (Scooby Doo for one) but thankfully no cyber! 8)
 
Sorry doll. A tweeker is someone who takes a lot of crystal meth, generally with no and/or bad teeth, bad skin, steals and sells stuff...It is a pejorative word for addicts...
 
I have seen people in Ibiza dressed up and for the most part it is more artful than anything...These candy kids are the opposite. It doesn't take much thought to throw on HUGE parachute pants, white gloves, and candy bracelets up your arms and a fuzzy shirt so people can touch it.

What is cyber? :oops:

Is it the same as candy?

It is funny you say that Axon because after I go to bed for the night I always hunt down these threads we take over because they are all in bed or out or whatever and see what happens...

What time is it over there like 1 AM? What time do the clubs/bars close?

:lol: Generally bars will close in 1 hour (2am) and clubs in 2 to 5 hours (3am to 6am)
 
The level of involvement on this thread has been extremely high. It started with a post about California, and ended up with us trying to chalk up plans for a night out or a meet-up in the middle of the state. As the surfers would say, Gnarly!
