I know!
We must view this as a sign that we must be extra vigilent at all times!
Is anywhere safe any more?
Just got this mail from work (I lied to them and said I did it this morning to blag more time off):
Yes,
I have just got off the phone with our brave wee soldier. He is sat at the A&E, all alone and upset, over his slized hand. The accidednt happend this morning as he was doing the dishes and a glass broke and cut him straight in his small, innocent hand.
What might look like a small-sized wound is actually a really DEEP wound - almost, perhaps, in a sense, like a STABBING, and the doctors have yet to decided whether to stitch or glue! OH - the excitement!
Until they make their mind up and schedule him in, he is sitting in an overcrowded waiting room, surronded by weird smelling people with all kinds of ailments, with his arm and hand in a sling to stop the bleeding. A SLING!
He asks everyone to bare with him at this difficult time and he will check in with us as the drama developes.
Yours Sincerely,
Nurse Ratched
I wonder if I'll pull through???
The funniest thing of all is, last night is the first night I was left in the flat alone. My two grown up flat mates (who are nurses) went on holiday yesterday!
