Worst Place Youve ever Worked at.

where is the worst place you've worked?

for me has to be a "financial newspaper" based outside cambridge.

earned £6k p/a operating a b&w mac with a portrait screen "designing" ads to go in em, using state of the art clip art...

was printed on pink, but financial times it wasnt. and the editor had a tache.... and was a woman.... :?: :!: :?

Telegen UK in Brighton selling electricity to business customers. You didn't even get to dial the numbers, a computer would do it for you and your Madonna-mic styleee headset would BEEP! at you for you to do sell after sell.
It was relentless and to make things worse, supervisors would walk around cracking the whip. You couldn't even go to the toilet without getting lynched with a cross word.
It was inhumane - and not dissimilar to Chinese water torture. I was doing it in my sleep and just wanted to kill myself at the end of each day.
URGH!

Mine was a chicken factory 8O

I was a student and on my first morning they showed me how the poor little chickies were killed and then in the afternoon they told me what my job was going to be and I had to get the dead chickens and put their legs up their bum and put them on the trays you buy them in on the supermarket 8O

I ran out at the end of the day, never went back and have never eaten meat since.

Erm... the place I'm at now is pretty bad....

I also worked at Mcdonalds when I was at college  which, despite making me smell of grease every day, was actually great fun

u go for a job at a chicken factory.... what did u expect? a bucket of seed to feed the lil chicks?

take it i cant tempt u with my chunky chicken pie then...

I worked for a manufacturing company that made credit card machines. Not that bad- except MY job was to open faulty retuned ones with a knife and take them apart bit by bit, putting the parts in their respective places -all day, by myself. I must have got through 100+ in the first day- it was complete hell. After they told me that i would probably be on that section for 2 months, i walked out after just two days of work.

I was a naieve little 18 year old, I didn't know that they'd expect me to be a murderer

i was a skinny little 14 year old when i got a job at a florist

they tried to teach me to be creative with the flowers but when that failed they would put my out the back cleaning all the used flower pots

there were soooooooooooo many spiders, i ran home at lunchtime, cried and never went back

I had a very brief stint selling cable TV door to door in Sydney. It was sooo difficult, I'd rather top myself than have to do it again.

I was a porter for a big hotel in scarborough. I was paid little and did long hours and was expected to do 3 things at once. After a lecture too many I waited for the right moment to drop the managers right in it. One day the owner and son of the hotel group turned up at 3pm expecting me to cater for their every need and act like a skivvy. I smiled, took their lunch order, then went through to the kitchen, out of the back door, keys through the letterbox and never returned. I still don't know whether they got their lunch, but I know the manger would of had to make it if they did.

That's bad.

I worked at Subway. One time a dude was just screwing with me the whole night, and it ended with him locking me in the freezer (-40 degrees) for ten minutes.

I was so perturbed afterwards I pulled a knife on him.

I was laid-off the next day without them finding out about the knife-pulling incident.

Oh ya, and I was paid $5.15 an hour to boot.

this one, foot messenger for a day, and the summer job I had in a photographic place. Fumes left me knackered.

I don't think they realize you can die in as little as 30 minutes and can require hospitalization in as little as 15 minutes.
