I'm a student so any job I have is crap. Checkout girl at Tesco was quite degrading though - I used to have customers come up to me and say "Bet you wish you worked a bit harder at school now don't you?" Telling the scrubbers that I was a University student soon wiped the smug smile off their dole-scum faces though

I'm in my last year as a student, and have had the same job since I was 16. Work as lifeguard, which actually sounds alright when people ask luckily. 8)

2003 i worked 3 months in between radio jobs, at a legal office with solitors ect. worked next to this 27 year old secretary who almost whispered when she spoke and this big fat ugly girl, my age - and they were both looking like "Gucci" had thrown up on them, sooooo unstylish!
the only thing they could talk about was LV bags they called "Louuuuuuiiiieeee" and their damn gucci gear, talk about LACK OF TASTE AND INDIVIDUALITY

THIS MIGHT EXPLAIN WHY i HATE THOSE BRANSD SO MUCH: WHEN I stopepd because I didnt "fit the style and tone of the office" I was releaved and Im never going to become remotely close to their horrendous taste.

8O 8O

I thought you were into those brands

no no no

i have always stated Im only into chanel, maybe a chloe bag and bogetta venetta (but cant afford it). I´d rather be more original in choises of brands...! in an old thread before you came to the spolight pages on this forum, we had these debates where most of the girlie s here feel the ssame. its cooler to just get your own style.

but back to the job thing now,

u can make as much money... but u cant buy style...

I had to really think about this, i helped my nan out with her cleaning contract while i was still at senior school. I got paid £40 at end of week for doing 2 hours work each night.

Even that wasnt that bad tho :?

Im a clean-a-holic so i ejoyed it

Between the ages of 15-18 I bunked off to go labouring fairly often. For a year of that I also had a Saturday job as a trolley boy at Waitrose at Brent Cross. Used to go be sprinting around the multi-story car park with loads of trollies, the Friday nights 'energy' still serving me well. Then I'd go clubbing on Saturday and hallucinate and see shopping trolleys everywhere!

When I left Uni my first job on retruning to London was in Deptford. On my first day I had to wait while the police dealt with the headless corpse of a murder victim on the grounds of our office. Nice area!

I also had an office at sewerage treatment works for a while. Was a lovely place to have lunch in the midsummer heat 8O
