Why Don´t Scandinavians Like Ibiza Anymore?...

A few years ago a lot of travel agencies had Ibiza as destination, but no more...it´s impossible - there´s only 1 agency for ENTIRE Scandinavia....
Why don´t people want to go anymore?? cant just be cuz of those rediculous shows on tv about drunk people on the island, can it???

we are 10 people from sweden coming on the 11th of july!!!!
we have been there 7 years in a row!!!!!!!!!!!

??? like cafe del mar, well most do don´t they???
well good to hear that there is going to be some Scandi´s there this year too....this is my 4´th year in a row...won´t miss it for the world!

but I don´t know why there arent more people or enough to still keep the destination. semms like uk/dutch people know´s better on this matter?

what i mean is, that most of the skandinavians stayed in san an west end, i remember gorms garage 10 years ago was full of danish people, but since then i havent seen many skandinavians any more,....and the area got very bad in the last years, same with cafe del mar,...

yeah it´s been a while since they invaded the place, cant believe we are only going to be approx 18 people going together from Denmark on the 5th! it´s so little!

so become a specialist for ibiza travelling from skandinavia to ibiza,....maybe you get unbelievable rich ;)

Anyone care to comment on if there are many Scandinavians on the White Isle this year ?

im sure there arent. no planes or package holidays to ibiza from norway or sweden at least. most people here thinks its all ibiza uncovered possie all around. and druuuuuuuuuuggggs, baaaaaaaaaaaaaad....

Yeah that sucks pretty bad, as if the Danes did´nt do drugs themselves or party like crazy? In Denmark, we have a world record of the youngest average of people drinking like crazy and we consume most alcohol a person based upon resent researches......funny how Ibiza doesn´t seem like a place for them at all, maybe it´s the music. Danes prefer shite like R&B, Hiphop ect....

So the same in Norway. You say you like house and they look at you like you are talking hebrew or something, or they are more knowledgeable and simply call it 'aerobicmusic'

 some places are beyond hope....

thats such a shame..

Finnish travel agency told to me that Ibiza is too expensive for travellers.
Hotels are expensive, old and without air conditioning. You can go cheaper to Mallorca and it´s almost same as Ibiza ;)

Secondly I think it´s music. Finnish clubbers like harder and faster music. You really can´t hear house anywhere in Finland. (Maybe there is couple of places but nothing fancy.)

If you take one finnish clubber to Ibiza...and then he or she sees ticket prices...he is definitely not going any big clubs...he goes to San An and thinks that Mallorca might be better place to visit...

(You can exclude those 20-30 finnish people who are going to be there this summer. But they are pros.) 8)

I visited Ibiza this year, for the 5th time, and I definitely did go to most of the big clubs. If you buy cheaper tickets in for example the Ibiza Town Marina, you actually get in at quite a reasonable price considering the quality of the DJ's and the atmosphere at e.g. Pacha (yes, there are people in Finland who like their music funky as well as hard).

The West End we had to visit because some of our group wanted to see if it really was like Uncovered :x After coming back to Helsinki, the comments I heard from lots of mates who haven't visited Ibiza went along the lines of "The island was full of drunken Brits, wasn't it?". When I showed them some photos from Benirras or Formentera they went "I didn't realise there was any beautiful nature there. Those pictures could be from India or the Caribbean." This shows the power of television I suppose.

The Nordic countries have few people but a percentage of them are quite wealthy. Someone should start marketing the more luxurious side of Ibiza and Formentera to them. Sending us to San Antonio on cheap package holidays has ended and always will end in disaster because of our drinking habits which are like those of the Brits. Or possibly worse.
