Well , many houses here in San Antonio, in the campo, are flooded, it’s catastrophic, the storm arrived around midnight, 1am on this side of the island! And looking at the videos, it’s worse on the Ibiza side! there is a lot of damage 😕
 
Looking across the water Ibiza's just starting to reappear again, where've you been?!

Sun trying to break through here but still worried (as alluded to above) it's all circling and gonna return.

That's all so Ibiza, just can't stay away and keep coming back!

Meanwhile as if this isn't enough, real storms forecast for the UK over the weekend, so will be worrying about my late flight getting back lon time - or at all.

I'm due back here mid Oct, might be less worrying if I just bloody well stayed!
 
BTW forgot to ask, were the regular ferries sailing? Can't think the wind would bother the larger ones?

I heard some flights have been diverted from landing.

Also, as this happens most years, why are most establishments roofs leaky?

My hotel, room, reception, restaurant got water coming in everywhere.

Roofs just not up to it like in the uk? (Although tbf it is a *lot* of rain today)
 
Looks loke main storm going south east, with weird nubbin breaking off and going inland/north.

There's no real incentive to keep the rain out like wot we have at home, think a bigger issue is flooding from the ground, the drains simply can't cope, that's if there are any.

This flooding is becoming quite regular, and wonder if money should be spent on getting the water off the main roads and around low-lying housing?

Yeah all this money coming in isn't going on infrastructure, unless you count David guettas villa....

I can see Formentera, but now raining proper hard. Hoping its the back end.

I need to go wading soon to the restaurant 😬

I guess with all the insurance payouts and increase in premiums that might change things.

My hotel (fergus) is gonna have to referb most the ground floor for starters
 
It’s looking like my mate will be staying another night, he’s struggling to get a bus or taxi to take him to the airport. Looks like San Antonio has got pretty lucky today.

You can bet in San An tonight there are a group of British lads going down the pub in goggles, flippers, snorkel and shorts!

My kind of Brit!
 
Yes, nothing in San An during the day, apart from a short drizzle in the late afternoon. Now bits of sky showing for sunset
