My hotel is same style as Ushuaia, suspect built at same time.

Anyhow all the roofs are sloping tiled so seem fine.

Just the drainage around pool area stuffed, and as result all the ground floor rooms are flooded with about 4-12 inches of water

I guess the main drains are just saturated.

The parking area to side of hotel has motor bikes half under water.

Not a good day to be changing accomodation from San An to Fig! Kinda stuffed at the moment.

Is the flooding clearing at all? Past experience is that it can clear up in a few hours. San An is fine today, despite a river running down my road last night. But dunno if I should be looking to get a hotel in San An tonight?

After four solid hours of downpours here, looks like it's easing off - patches of blue and all that. Horrendous on he mainland, hope everyone's OK, looks like a lot of mud to clear up.

Only had something like this once before, in Minorca, roads turned into rivers you could surf on. I was in a bar during the worst of it, became flooded so the barman simply brought out taller seats!
