As all the electricity and even 5G was down, we couldn't even pay via PayPal or bank transfer online.

We promised to go back today to pay (which of course, we will) but they did look at us as though they didn't want us to go without paying, even though they know we are local.

They could hardly hold you hostage until the power returns! Although if Hostal La Savina's power went down I think I'd volunteer to be hostage overnight, with their wine and that view!!
 
Monday was bad in Scotland and north of England (probably N Ireland too) with very unseasonal gales, plenty of branches to pick up off my lawn this morning!

Goodness knows what's coming this autumn!
 
the heat is back here. it's not as bad as on the mainland (maybe you've seen the news, big chunks of the iberic peninsula is reaching 40ºC or more for various days this week), but it's still really hot again during the afternoons.

I found it unbearable from 3pm onwards. Last night was really humid late on. Back in uk now but I’d gladly swap the weather again.
 
Even here in the UK was glad of my portable air-con last night; although the temps are good but not exceptional for August here. It is very humid though which makes evenings uncomfortable!

well it was 28 in Cheshire at 5pm last night which is quite warm for the Northwest
 
this weekend looks very hot here in ibiza too - especially nighttime temps won't go down much. sat/sun temp won't go below 25ºc at any time.

in mallorca we might hit 40ºc as well in the day
