This is the last time I'll see 20+ for at least 7 months, nothing booked abroad, may try a last minute deal for Costa del Sol, otherwise that's it, back to gloves, scarves and heavy coat from tomorrow!just left a beautiful 25 degrees at Es Canar![]()
i’m undecided on our usual Canaries jaunt late Jan/early Feb. Might hold out to May and do Nerja again. This is the last time I'll see 20+ for at least 7 months, nothing booked abroad, may try a last minute deal for Costa del Sol, otherwise that's it, back to gloves, scarves and heavy coat from tomorrow!
Wet, cold and windy...yes, back in the UK. Was gorgeous as I left, missing it already.Weather looks bloody glorious there today!
Done exactly the same, not a Cavallet thoView attachment 20114
hello from mima & me from es cavallet (en bolas of course). just went to do one last 1km swim to celebrate the last day of daylight saving time - and what a day it is!
The people who run Valencia should be in jail. Absolutely shambolic mismanagement of this disaster. Turning away specialist disaster recovery teams, not informing families, blaming Sánchez... If Baleares ever goes through something similar, I hope the Govern shows some competence. People still vote PP even though they don't give a shit about real people. (See also Prestige disaster in Galicia)
Sea temps are currently between 17 and 18c (which is about as good as it gets in summer in the UK!!) Anyone been for a swim recently? BTW there's an outdoor pool on the front at Brighton which states in winter the temperature is kept at around 19c, which seems chilly to me, but if it's snowing and you're stood in the cold in just your trollies if probably feels boiling when jumping in!
I'm too much of a softie; although I agree when it's numbingly cold outside - anything at 19c will feel warm!I swim at that pool. It is a good temperature..feels cold getting in but if it is cold outside you soon warm up.
Looks very grey and cool right now; my next trip might be early March when daytime temps aren't particularly high (15-18c normally) but should be gorgeous in the higher sun. Might be Ryanair's first or second flight out of the season from Manchester (a Manchester which is bathed in 100% sunshine right now I will add...!).quick update here, for now it looks like we're in for a pretty 'wintery' holiday season here on the balearics. currently it's grey, it rains a little here and there and even though we might get some sun too in the next days, the long term forecast predicts a probably wetter and for now also cooler christmas period than what we're used to normally - if the forecast is right, daily high temp might be only around 12ºC or during the last few days of the year which is quite chilly.
as usual, we'll see how it all pans out in the end
