That's a brilliant video and musically important. I had always read about the kraftwerk inspiration and influence on Detroit Techno but didn't know it began in 82.
Still have this album on cassette, reminded of the time I was browsing the Human League section in Our Price (remember them?) and someone tapped me on the shoulder and said "what are you looking at that crap for?" It was Phil Oakey, he had a pile of Madonna stuff to pay for.I love that. Used to hear it out loads in London
reminds me slightly of this human league belter too (those dark robo synths)

Also Jon Savage is my favourite writer on punk and rock. In my opinion England's Dreaming is by far the best book on punk.
I also admire Viv Albertines’s and Patti Smith’s memoirs.lipstick traces maybe also ?
