Me first for the first time.

Friday, Prince, underwhelming see a different thread. Not enough hits, uttery awful seats .

Early morning train back to Manchester, sat next to two DJ's called 'Men in Masks' - any one know of em? Seemed like a top geezers and all.

They were on their way to dpercussion in Manchester to play - I was there as a punter. It's a free festival (well 3 quid) put on by promoters/events managers ear to the ground. Its been going 10 years, however this was the last one  again. Top quality day, thankfully on the guesty so we had our own bar/toilets which made it a lot more civilised. And got to go on a rave barge thing, with a dj etc which was good fun.

All in all, the event will be very sadly missed.

Today, fry up, sunday times, then Wagamamas for dinner, Chicken Katzy yum.:)

Big Chill - Highlights included Normay Jay M.B.E. Kruder & Dorfmeister, DJ Yoda but the highlight for me by a country mile was Crazy P on the Castle Stage on Sat night. What a gig! Best live act I've seen in recent years. I'm also now a Big Chill convert. Great festival, well organised, nice facilities and food stalls...Great weekend!

Friends wedding on Saturday

Fantasic night, got horribly drunk on cider (VERY unlike me) and got down to both a DJ from China Whites and 'The Wurzels' live on stage!

Ended up with 8 of us in my car (driven by Mrs Jam) reciting the Wurzels remix of Oasis - Don't look back in anger: Don't go back to Chew Magna  all the way home.....

(I should point out that the car is a 7 seat so not as bad, or impossible as it sounds)

They are off to Ibiza on Monday so if you see a couple called Charlotte (Charlie) and Ben in Pacha on Friday (I think) go on up and say hello :)

Recovering today....

Friday evening - CSD

Saturday evening - CSD

Sunday evening - CSD

It was a completely CSD weekend for me ....... eat a lot, drink a little bit, dance and have fun a lot ....... compliment to the organisation-team in Hamburg ..... it was a cool party :D

Fri - shopping for new autumn/winter clothes, few wines in the sunshine, Tom cooked and we ate outside in the garden for one of the first times this year

Sat - went to Charlotte's Place for dinner which is officially my new fave restaurant in Ealing

Sun - took the doggies to Richmond Park, had a picnic and spent the afternoon laid in the sunshine in the Park and playing with the doggies - absolutel bliss :D

Fri, few pints in the White Horse
Saturday, spent most of the day catchin rays, in the night went to a private Party at the Cobden Club, themed Rockstar, which most made a real effort, plenty garish outfits, free bar, the host and some his mates played live music, finishes up with a DJ, hammered!!
Woke up feeling shocking, watched the 1st half of the Game in the Pub with an average Roast, 2nd half at home, then went to Hurlingham Park to play frisbee!!
Good weekend!!

Fri: Puppy sat - lots of mischief and fun - took him to the pub with us where he became an instant hit! Bit of silliness and then back to ours for 9pm where we went for a long walk and watched the sunset with the dog and a smoke. 8)

Sat: Garden furniture day!! Put together my new furniture (well Phil did - all manly and muscley in the sun :lol:) and then I oiled it all (the wood that is not Phil) - 4 hours later a rather nice looking chilling yard, put up my solar fairy lights (not as tacky as they sound as they are white and not multicoloured!!), also put some candles in pottery holders on the brick walls too - looks rather fetching I have to say did some planting into tubs (although every time I prepared a plant - the dog ran off with a tub, or a trowel - very frustrating!!!!:D Celebrated my new seating area with a couple of glasses of wine and some yummy canapes and just chilled..... bliss!

Sun: Painted the gates and then had to fix one of the gates which involved me standing with the full weight of a 1.5 mtre x 2 mtr iron gate while phil altered the fixings that kept it to the wall - I think I held that bas***d gate in position for about an hour on and off :twisted: added all the willow screening - we now have a secluded yard that looks rather pretty... Chilled again - ate a very late lunch outside again and just about collapsed as we were knackered.

Today I feel as if my biceps have been detached from my upper arms - they are killing me off holding that bloody gate!!!!!:twisted:

Next weekend ......... the garden.... loving this "at one with nature stuff"...8)8)8) and then off work the following week so intend (weather permitting) to enjoy my two sanctury's

fri

family do as it was my sister-in-law and parents-in-law's wedding anniversary
lovely curries and red wine!

sat

the 3 couples went for a lovely seafood (expensive) dinner as it was our first anniversary
laura got me a lovely new wallet from Ted Baker and i got her a signed Sex and the City script.

sun

Simpsons movie - ok but not worth the hype its had

Thursday: Magda at T-bar - was good fun although her set wasn't that amazing and various arguements amongst friends put a damper on things.

Friday: Out to trailer trash for a couple of hours and then ended up staying up all night in hysterics at a friends, eventually realising I'd not slept and I had to go to brighton pride 8O:? so on the train I went in the morning, luckily being woken up by the brilliant sunshine 8).

Brighton pride was brilliant - not been to a very gay thing for ages, all the muscle boys and freaks did make me laugh. Spent most of the evening around the dance tent with the odd ride thrown in for good measure. Then went out to town for the evenings festivities. Onto a hilarious gay place called 'legends' which was atrocious, but at the same time hilarious. Danced to horrible cheesy gay house music before deciding that maybe I should go on to trade afterall...

trade was fantastic, excellent tradestyle hard music instead of funky gay rubbish that I thought it might be. As usual full of VERY scary people 8O:lol: but the music made up for it. Left near the end to sit on the beach before I finally decided that I should go to bed around midday. Quite proud of myself for pulling off a double header including afterhours 8O 8O8O

After a few hours sleep headed back into town for the street parties, then back to london and I feel surprisingly ok today :?

One of the best weekends yet

Absolutely unexpected wild weekend :D

Real Madrid, AC Milan and PSV Eindhoven were all in town to play in the Russian Railways Cup together with Lokomotiv Moscow. All weekend long I had random people staring at me trying to figure out if I was a football player

Friday - Got an email from a friend late afternoon with an offer of tickets to the Lokomotiv v Real match. Met up with him and his visiting Spanish friend and headed out to the stadium. Real were trounced in the first half and losing 2-0 but then brought out the big guns for the 2nd half and knocked in 5 goals

From there it was off to You Cafe and later Bar 7 for pre-party drinks. The Spanish guy has a friend in the Real Madrid hierarchy so then we ended up at the official afterparty at the nighclub Rai, partying with several of their top executives and a few players :!: A couple of Milan players showed up as well - Clarence Seedorf actually came up to say hello to me.. twice! :D (we were the only 2 black guys around ). On to the rooftop club Krysha Mira for afterhours where I apparently dozed off for a half hour in a beanbag chair at one point

Saturday - Nice dinner at pan-asian restaurant Shatush, a goodbye dinner for one American friend who is repatriating to the motherland. One guy came up to our table and asked if we were from Real Madrid  (my Austrailian friend decided to say yes ).

Denis Simachev Bar for pre-party drinks and then to the club Dyagilev to meet up with the Real gang again. The pyrotechnics show at 3am had us all convinced we were about to die in a fiery inferno :!: From there, over to club Opera where by morning we'd lost the last of our Madrid friends. Sleep sounded good so I bailed as everyone headed over to Garage.

Sunday - Went to the hotel to meet our new Spanish friends, who set it up so Irina could take some photos of the team and gave us a pair of tickets to the tournament final. Dinner at Dymov and then off to the stadium to see Real lose 2-1 to PSV.

Rushed home afterwards and turned on the Community Shield (which we'd recorded) only to see Chelsea yet again self-destruct in a penalty shootout. Decent match otherwise... not much to choose from between us and Man U going by this match so it should be a good fight this season.

nice relaxing night in on friday, then saturday headed up to spitalfields, brick lane and hoxton square for some tapas. spitalfields is SO much quieter and more pleasant on a saturday without the market. stopped off at our local beer garden on the way back and met up with a couple of visiting friends. then all back to ours for a fantastic bbq with more friends. Ended up going out to t bar to stop the inevitable all nighter at ours, (t bar has definitely gone downhill, and the smoking ban means you can smell the musty beer stained fabric of the seated area - yuk) then went on to some little club in shoreditch where Toni D was playing, then on to Kubicle. 2nd time in 2 weeks - ooooooops! great toilet, then even managed to walk home in the beautiful sunshine before collapsing on the sofa watching movies all afternoon. fantastic weekend!

:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D/10

Friday - Had friends over for beers and BBQ.
Sat - Fitness, House hunting, domestic bliss, Simpsons Movie ( funny as) and relaxing in beer garden getting bitten to funk (not so much me but the good lady.....25 at the last count 8O8O!)
Sunday - Car cleaning, golf comp and another BBQ.

Boring I know but this marraige lark doesn't half eat into you cash situation!!!

a very pleasant and not too messy friday night round at sweet & pauly's
then a messy sat with them and more friends at the manchester D-percussion fest and then onto a club for some throwing of shapes next to a very welcome fan! :)
sunday, recovering! lol
im getting old i reckon!

Fri - T-Bar for Ditched Disco. Terry put in a great turn, and Freak n Chic and after seeing Dan Ghencia a couple of times this year is definately a label I will be keeping an eye out for. A little carry on session at mine including 3 random girls that no one seems to remember inviting back but seemed nice enough from my hazy memory . Then headed down to Redlight at aquarium. Cue a 9am quick breakfast of blueberry pancakes at the Diner on Curtain Road and off to bed!

Sat - Myself and some friends were taking out my little cousins from Dubai to the Innocent Smoothie Village Fete in Regents Park. Great day out. Lots of smoothies and food. Met up with the Aussie crew Im going to Ibiza with in the evening and ended up getting horribly drunk around Camden (Note Little Cousins were not present to witness this! 8O). Staggered past my flat at 3ish to find my friend Lily and her German friends walking along my road on their way to Bar 54. Ended up being dragged there. Cue a 9am quick breakfast of blueberry pancakes at the Diner on Curtain Road and off to bed!

Sun - Met up with little cousins again around 4ish to go to Fiesta Del Pueblo (I think thats the name) - a Latin American festival in Elephant & Castle. was great fun and felt like being in South America again - Lots of chunky but totally unselfconcious girls in tiny hotpants, smoke from the Churrascaria's making you smell like a BBQ and hardly anyone speaking English followed by an evening in enjoying the weather with some beers in Chapel Street in Angel.

Great weekend in the sunshine 8)

Uh... ya... exactly what I said

I told the guys I was hanging with that they should come back to visit when it's not so whirlwind, and they said they'd be back in May for the Champions League final. I replied that they'd better hope they don't get Chelsea in the semis
