weekend rundowns

So much for being sensible... couldn't have been any more senseless really

Fri: Became "romanticly involved" with a friend
Sat: Out till 6am dancing with eyes like this 8O
Sunday: Bought a boat

I'm beyond help

sa: we're visiting a friend who is studying in konstanz, it's in the south of germany...sightseeing etc. and in the evening we went to zürich to the rohstofflager where john & jasper dahlbäck were playing....good and hart style but there sets were really good...good hard stuff in my opinion...

What type of hard stuff? I thought Dahlback was minimal :?:

Spent the last week in Italy staying with my sister who is studying in Padova for a year. Lovely little town with really pretty buildings, town squares etc. Had a great time. Sis has a really sweet and warm bunch of mates, all spanish and italian who within a couple of hours were treating me like an old friend. Sis also achieved legendary status in my eyes when translating for me with a foxy, non -english speaking Italian friend called Valentina (what a name!). conversation wasnt great so... . Did a few day trips to Venice, Florence and Perugia and Sienna all of which were lovely. Lots of art galleries, coffees, pizza's etc.

Her Italian flat mates go to ibiza regularly as well so planning on meeting up with them for the closing parties this year which should be fun.

Sat/Sun - Got back Sat morn and straight up to Oxford to stay with my mate. He is doing a masters there and his college was having a ball. About 6 of us went up and although we didnt exactly blend in with the huge number of Hooray Henry's on show, we looked pretty sharp in our tux's 8) . I was chirstened Cuthbert for the eve.

Ball was spectacular. In Harry Potter style grounds with loads of stalls and (watered down) drinks included. Spent the Sunday in the park and Punting on the river (extremely embarassing - 20 metres in 1hour with the whole of Oxford laughing at us)

fri - nothing much especially - ordered the book of the exhibiton - David Lynch "The Air Is On Fire"

went to see the exhibition in Paris and was blown away (laura didn't like it - his vision is a bit disturbing)

[book came today and looks intruiging]

sat - footie, dismal game but we won. big crowd out for my best mates b'day night inc laura. got plastered, bounced about a lot

sun - up too early (after being boozy on sat nite) and played golf (getting better). did hee-haw else all day

watched 24 & Lost at night (love them shows)

Friday: Got taken out to dinner and then onto some random puerto rican gay bar where there was a stripper on 8O  , then onto some other horrible gay places around puerto rico

Saturday: After 2 hrs sleep got to the airport at 7am, checked in, got on the plane, woke up an hour and a half later to find we still hadn't taken off, and now we were being asked to leave to plane. There goes my day in NYC i thought...

finally at 11 they said our flight was cancelled... but our bags had gone on ahead of us  . Realising I was probably going to miss my connection in NY now I frantically tried to change my flight, but apparently because I had booked the puerto rico - NY flight and the NY-london flight separately with different airlines and with a cheap ticket, I couldn't change it and would have to fork out for another ticket... and on top of that my insurance didn't cover it 'we don't cover connecting flights causing you to miss your main flight' or some bollocks.

Finally called the relative I'd been staying with who is a british airways gold member who made one simple phone call and got me on a flight all the way to the UK the next day.

Thus an extra day on the beach in puerto rico and in the evening on saturday out for a mexican and to see a film, 'the lives of others' (I think) which was excellent

Sunday: Got to the airport midafternoon, to find my new flight was delayed... so got put on a different flight and a different connecting flight, with the result that I finally got back to london at lunch time today, about 3 years later than I was supposed to.

Tired, and I've been called into the office for some random meeting as I didn't manage to get in today as obviously I was stuck at airports all weekend.

Great holiday though 8) 8) 8) hate being back, considering booking ibiza now...

Friday - local beers

Saturday - last footy match of the season and associated last game beer-up. Started drinking at 4pm and stopped at 4pm (Sunday). Drunkenly doing roly- polys on Camden High St at 9am Sunday morning and explaining to bemused passers-by that 'that's just how I roll' was just one of many moments of comic genius in that 24 hr period.

Felt like death but more than worth it.

I believe all who saw it were similarly appreciative. You know when you're 'in the zone' and you can't help but be funny? Well, 'it was just my time'.........

Fri: My girlfriend and I decided to split up:cry:  She's Italian and only lives here for half the year and it was getting too difficult. Really harsh and still suffering but definitely for the best...wish it felt like it though.

So, 10 of my best mates all took me for a night out. Pretty tough at first but ended up having an ok night:p

Sat: Gym during the day then some vinio at night with close mates again

Sun: Gym, sauna and swim then cinema at night...

Awwwwww Fergie - c'mere, i'll cheer you up ;)

My weekend..... you wouldnt believe me if I told you

Hello again btw :)

*Her*

WHAT A FRIGGIN' FUN WEEKEND!! :D :D

Friday - Work kept me in the office to late and then I had to go home and pack for my trip. Got myself together and headed out to Fabrique for Steve Angello and St Petersburg's own DJ Romeo. Romeo isn't ground breaking but has a knack of stringing together some fat bass lines (look out for him... he usually plays a couple of nights in Ibiza each summer). Angello rocked :D

Saturday - Got exactly 1 hour of sleep before heading to the airport :? Flew to London to attend the 10th annual Russian Economic Forum. A friend who is head of the Russia-Iceland Friendship Association invited me to attend the West Ham v Everton match at Upton Park. Raced from Heathrow to the hotel to the stadium and walked onto the stands just at kick-off, only to find out I was sitting in the front row of the Directors' Box with the Icelanders  The team owner promised me the Hammers would beat Manchester next month

Back to the hotel for a much-needed nap, then to the Moscow Motion party at Old Billingsgate Market. I was a bit late so I missed Mika but I saw Sophie Ellis-Bextor perform and she is gorgeous :D Ukrainian temptresses Via Gra were equally fetchhing and the German DJ who came on between sets was decent. Ended up heading from there over to some private West End club called Tramp and partying until dawn with a friend, a well-known restaurant owner, a famous Russian footballer and the Forum organizer and his wife. Fun night!

Sunday - Woke up feeling rough. Went to a friend's place to watch Chelsea draw with the Toon  Attended an evening reception, then a dinner for Forum speakers, then a party thrown by Moscow nightclub Petrovich at a club called Motion, right on the Thames. Russian rock band Nogi Svelo, which had closed out the previous night's party, was on stage again. Ended up partying with the editors of the Russian editions of Forbes, Newsweek and Financial Times

Monday - After all day at the conference, there was a very posh dinner where I got to rub elbows with all kinds of completely random famous people from the UK and Russia. Later, a couple of friends and I went to Ministry of Sound to see a performance by St Petersburg-based ska band Leningrad (a group so vulgar and subversive, the mayor of Moscow has banned them from performing in the city!). Absolutely blinding concert :D Only downside was still being in my rented tux from the dinner earlier (though I was not alone)... which felt a bit odd in Ministry!

Now I'm munching on crappy room service pizza and I'm still a bit tipsy
