Weekend rundowns

A weekend of mixed emotions…went home to visit the folks for my Dad’s 60th! Got very drunk and talked ****e with my uncle all evening displaying my wine stained medieval teeth for all to see . It was a wicked evening actually.
I always feel decidedly normal when surrounded by desperate divorcees, family freaks and Aunties from Hicksville. 8O

Also caught up with the blind, deaf (but happy) little doggy and walked around the fields in the sunshine 8) – reeeeally needed to hug some trees after being cooped up in London for so long.

Also moved my Gran to an old people’s home which was very strange – she was really nervous and I had to put her in the living room and instigate conversation so she could meet some new friends. She looked really vulnerable when I left and it was heartbreaking  – it’s like sending a kid off to uni for the first time – only harder because change is more difficult in your old age.
The old gal will be fine soon enough tho. I’m looking forward to hearing her whinges about all the in fighting and old lady politics.

So what with 60th birthdays and being in old folks homes, I’ve been reminded of my own mortality…life is reeeeally short isn’t it? Where has the last decade gone for example?!?!? 8O

Oh and the lunar eclipse on Saturday night was magical. Anyone see it?

Fri - met Jamie and Rach after work in London Bridge and we had wines by the river, then they took me to the Blueprint Cafe for my Lovers Birthday Meal - lovely night, I have the best lovers in the world :D  The binoculars we nicked from there came in very handy for eclipse watching on Saturday night

Sat - shopped and had girlie treatments in the day, at night Tom cooked, had a few wines and watched the Pet Shop Boys documentary.

Sun - massive shopping expedition, ended up getting both my wedding costumes, Tom's wedding costumes, Ibiza costumes, bikinis   How long is it til June  Then went to Yauatcha for afternoon tea (I'm such a sophisticated ladieeee  )

Friday stayed in with a massive hungover from thrusday

Saturday, great great day out with fellow spanish spotlighers. I had a brilliant time and Pep realised that my freak internet friends are not that freak  At night we watched the game :? and as it was all so warm we layed in the grass for hours watching the eclipse. 8)

Sunday, Pep and I (and the neighbourgs dog) took a long walk through the fields and woods around the in-laws home and we had a massive meal with some of his oncles, aunties and cousins and after a siesta we drove back home.

My weekend was great!

Fri - finished work at 3 after a lovely chinese for lunch as we reached our targets this month. So that afternoon off made the weekend feel like a 3 dayer was great  Went out in eve with girlies and guys for our long awaited night out, was great fun, which ended with getting soaked as we fancied a Maccy D's ( ) and losing shoes in mud, very funny.

Sat - drove us home and my poor friend was nearly ill on the way home, not due to my driving I have to add. Then went to see my lovely boyfriend whose mum was away for the whole weekend so we had the whole house and the dog to ourselves all weekend. Was great  even greater when your used to living with parents :spank:

Sun - had a nice dinner cooked for me, then spent the rest of the day having a typically lazy Sunday, tv, papers, food etc etc

Back to the grind today!

Robder - I remember when we put my grandmother in care and it was the hardest thing ever, especially for my mom. I hope it all works out for your gran and that she settles in ok.

Friday - Got a surprise call from the big boss inviting me and my colleague to join him and his crew for the Scorpions concert. Great seats (cost 280 pounds!!) and a surprisingly enjoyable show from these ageing rockers.

The concert was over relatively early so home to change then out to meet some mates at restaurant/lounge Shanti. From there we went to the latino bar Che, then to tiny upscale club Bar 7, then to Fabrique to wrap up the night.

Saturday - Usual laziness daytime, then over to SportLand for some football. Later on, back over to Bar 7, then to club Dyagilev, then after-hours at Garage, and a quick swing by Mix.

Sunday - Slept until mid-afternoon. Ordered Chinese delivery. Watched Street Fight (very interesting documentary) and Hustle & Flow.

Fri: Usual Dj gig with a friend, quiet night - even stayed sober and drove home afterwards 8O

Sat: Watched the Mancs (spit) smash & grab raid an Anfield then drove to Folkestone

Sun: Channel Tunnel at 6:30 am then drove through France, Belgium, Holland and into Germany. Whopped it down the Autobahn up to 130mph and STILL got overtaken - at least it was by a Porsche GT3RS though ;) . Collected some things and drove home. Back in Sunny Somerset by 7pm.....

Stayed out the house as much as possible this weekend. Its too empty and too quiet to stay in...

Fri - Phil took me out for drinks and dinner - we got legless which was rather good because it meant we got a proper nights sleep.

Sat: Went out shopping all day while Phil listened to match and worked- nearly got done for shoplifting from the greengrocers as I walked out with a basket of stuff and the shopkeeper shouting after me.... (most embarrassing because on Thursday I took the car out with me to pop to the shops and ended up walking half way home, wondering why my arms were sore with carrying shopping then realised I had left the car somewhere -   )

Sun: Went out for a walk and then had a lovely Sunday Lunch on the Quayside. Got home watched a couple of DVD's - pointless cos couldnt concentrate...:?

Friday - Went out for a super long walk with my parents, met lots of Doggies, horses and cows along thge way. 8)
Friday night - Country pub meal with all the family (Dads b'day) it was so lovely seeing Dad so happy and healthy, he had the hugest mixed grill ever! He really is my hero. (for being such a fighter not eating the mixed grill)

Sat - up at 5am to get back to London. 8O
Sat eve - nowt, was too tired to go out *see above*

Sunday - Fry up, papers, Gym, swim, then over to my friends place for a roast. yum.

Friday was Utah Saints at the Reading Rooms, Breaks arent my cup of tea but I was in the minority as the place was jumping. Afterparty followed, then the pub, then I jumped in a car going to Glasgow and headed to the Arches for Danny Howells which was spiffing. Onto another afterparty then home Sunday afternoon slightly battered and bruised and missing a front tooth.

Worst Monday in a long time! I think the phrase is tired and emotional.

saturday - cocoon night in zurich. extrawelt were brilliant, if you ever get a chance to catch them, go for it. awesome! guy gerber was cancelled (there was a note he had missed his flight in tel aviv...), bummer :(
andré galluzzi was cool as well, he played after extrawelt. began with some straight techhouse stuff and got very minimal later. the party ended at 7am and i went to natascha's place for some well-needed sleep.

sunday - when natascha got home from work early in the afternoon, i was still in the land of oz and she woke me up. enjoyed the very nice and warm, spring-ish, weather with a walk in the sunshine. had a nice dinner in the evening and then drove home (well, first natascha gave me a ride back to where i had parked my car the night before  and then i drove home)

Damn... that must have some afterparty!

So you made it to Howells after all? Had to be done! 8)

Aye I was on the go from the minute I stepped in from work. Got the bit I needed to get my cdj's working and spent a few hours drinkin and playing on them (badly!).

Lost my tooth halfway through the Utahs, some silly bint's flailing arm cracked me right in the moof! Hope I dont need a plate or anything, thatd be well shady :?

Nearly 48 hours on it, very wobbly yesterday. And im totally skint now :(

aw PL, big hug from me.

Friday: Out with work people for a drinking marathon, finally collapsed at 3 after nearly falling asleep in a bar. It'd been a long week 8O

Saturday: Woke up mega late and then caught the bus to london. Pizza at my friends then anti social which was delightful as usual, then to a new night called 'get out' which was ok but the venue was one of those 4 story thingys with little tiny rooms and it wasn't that great.

Power nap for a few hours then the toilet followed by T-bar until Oxford beckoned.

Must stop clubbing.

Fri- Drinks after work with some school mates around the city. Very messy, quite hazy and bits I do recall, not particularly proud of so leave it there.

Sat- Met up with the Brazil boys and a load of other mates for an emotional reunion. Went to a club just of carnaby street, Kabaret as it was one of our mates bday and he had hired most of the place out. Was good fun and ended the night dancing around wearing a pair of bright red braces which were fun pinging at people. Still dont know where I got them from but its all about accessorising!

Sun- Sleep. Watched the 4-3 thriller on tv. read my book and passed out at about 8pm. Great day!

Tonight I am taking my sis n family to Mango Tree for her 21st bday as she just got back from Italy, where she lives

friday - T bar till 2, then on to a warehouse party in Shoreditch till 7. back to ours for more, then slept the rest of sat. Sunday- drinks in the oxo tower then dinner at Busaba Earthai for yummy thai food. mmmmmmmm.

Saturday - shopping....was a lazy bint...and then I watched the moon for most of the evening:lol:

Sunday - continued to be a lazy bint until got called up by some crazyyyyyyy Irish friends and ended up going for drinks until the very early hours......:?

I have the mother of all hangovers today.....actually, correction.....Im still very very drunk :? :? :?

Friday - fu*k all
