Friday - Cleaning duties.

Saturday - Walked along the regents canal from Bethnal Grn to Camden - was lovely!
pm - went to see David Hoyle at the Soho theatre. Fantastic bloke - bang on about so many things.
He used to perform at Torture Garden and Duckie if that means anything?...Hates gay culture, pioneers the cause of gender dismorphia, despises England and the beaurocrisy that surrounds it (can you see a theme forming here? :oops:) and throws a bit of contemporary dance in for good measure. :lol:
Nice to see him on form after his 6 year break (and nervous breakdown 8O).

Sunday - Bought a rabbit that plugs into my computer's wi-fi connection...its ears rotate and it talks at you when you get emails, tells you the weather and has lots of flashy lights. (spending far too much money on silly gadgets at the mo. :oops: :lol:

pm - Shoreditch Summer Pleasure Cruise. Quite possibly the funniest evening of my life.
Boat party on the thames with Johnny Woo and all the Trailer Trash lot. Music was brilliant, amazing atmosphere, lots of trannies in swimming costumes, water pistols and bemused onlookers. :lol:
Loved it, loved it, loved it.
Last tune of the night - dirty cash. :D :D :D 8)
Ended up in Public Life aka the Toilet :lol:
Being at work today is one of my life's greatest achievements. 8O

...oh, and bought a kick ar*se home cinema kit for the bunker on Sat too - can't wait to get home...planning to christen it with Miss Kittin.
 
As the in-laws are on holidays we took advantage of their summer house and went there with few friends.

Friday night bbq on the garden and lots of drinks and smokes al fresco
Saturday morning I had my minute of glory and fell down the stairs (8 steps). Half of my bum is purple at the moment, as my elbow and part of my back (and quite worring as I'm going to spend three weeks in a bike very soon). At night we went to a big birthday party and all was went downhill. At 5am I had to drag Pep home and at 5,30am I had to go to the neighbours to ask for their keys cos Pep had lost them :?

Sunday: hungover and back home



BTW Robder, what's your new rabbit name?
 
Friday - few drinks in our local followed by a great curry! Best I've had in ages yummmmm :twisted:

Saturday - Drove down to Canterbury to see Jon's dad and family. Spent the day lounging in the garden reading and drinking cups of tea!

Sunday - Drove down to Margate with everyone. Spent a nice day walking along the coastal path, having lunch on the beach and paddling in the sea. Got thoroughly sunburnt (I never learn! :roll: ) then drove back for a roast and strawberry cheesecake :)
 
Friday: Out drinking with friends, decided we were going to be disgusting and do the oxford gay scene that evening to amuse ourselves. Ended up getting far far far too drunk :? broke my phone and spent too much money on rubbish.

Saturday: Woke up very hungover, felt sorry for myself during the day and then headed to london in the evening to see my dad for his birthday! Had a lovely evening, we had grilled lobster at my dads, and I have to say that grilling lobster is the most disgusting thing I've ever seen cooked - they're dead because you cut them in half, but as soon as you put them under the grill they start to twitch and move about, even throwing themselves off the grill at one point 8O 8O 8O

Sunday: Woke up far too late, then had lunch at my dads - they had a few people over for that, so ended up staying there until quite late. Got back to Oxford only to find I was locked out of my house as my housemate had my keys... finally got in after trekking into town to pick them up, then back home to try and do some office work which I'd neglected all weekend. That didn't happen and I eventually just fell asleep early.
 
Fri: Was invited to a wedding reception of an old 'friend'. I say old 'friend' as he's one of those who thinks he has a lot in common with you when the opposite is in fact true :lol: Anyway, he means no harm so decided to go. It was ok, saw a few people i know so was a chance to catch up etc etc.

Sat: Work in the am then Went for measuring for the morning suit i have to hire for brothers wedding. Grrrrr ..... i despise all that formaility! :twisted: Quick session at gym before getting started on the booze. Went out to a couple of late bars, called in The Plug for a bit where we bumped into a gay couple we know, who incidentally, dragged us to not one, but two gay clubs :lol: The first one being 'Fuel' which was wicked music and atmosphere. The second club was a bit over the top so left and arrived home as the sun was coming so sat out on the terrace drinking wine for a while :D

Sun: Up early (don't know how i managed that?). Took car to car wash whilst witnessing a massive fire which has destroyed a bakery! Went into town for a delicious breakfast, did our sunday food shop, made a picnic then went to our favourite park to sunbathe 8)

All in all a very pleasurable weekend.

Saturday - went to a Big Dance event at the Royal Ballet School. Decided I want to be a ballerina. :lol: Spot of shopping in Cov Garden but was tooo busy so made way to the Old Ship in Hammersmith to meet up with some friends for afternoon drinking. Yummy bbq and lots and lots of rose. Afternoon turned into evening and the pub shut and somehow made it home with a very posh man I then had to get rid of. :?

Sunday - hideous hangover. Watched "Capote". What a weird guy - interesting film though specially if you've read "In Cold Blood".

we watched Capote last week. Not read the book but might do.

I found the film very slow and that I kept loosing conentration. I did enjoy the acting though, just did not see the point. At the end of the day and criminal got punished for a crime he commited.

Yes, it was very slow paced. Lots of long lingering shots of not very much. Capote comes across as manipulative and self-centred and obviously it's hard to feel much sympathy for the murderers, so it's all a bit bleak really. The book is definitely worth reading though.

I found the imbroglio of the main character somewhat perverted; especially when he was feeding the criminal baby food.

Jon, I can't keep up with your ever-expanding vocabulary!

I must say I enjoyed watching Disc 1 of "One Tree Hill" Season 2 much more. :lol:

fri - spontaneous gathering at my flat (i.e. drunk mates in the area asking to drop by) , lots of silly kitchen conversations :)

sat - fallen angels at The Egg for my mate's label party. Door bitch from hell who kept charging people who were on the guestlist :( 'Free campagne reception' turned out to be 8 bottles which went in about 2 mins :( Dodgy dodgy A-list-esque goings on. Still, great night with great tunes from Timo Garcia & Cheshire Catz. On to Meet for afters and then home to bed.

sun - took claire to a special dinner at oxo tower retaurant, food was AMAZING and a lovely view :)

All up a pretty great weekend!

Oh so it's a bit like "fiasco" I don't think I'd use it about a person, but about a situation eg. The imbroglio over Bec's mate's birthday party in Brighton. :lol: Has that been sorted yet by the way?? When are you getting your Global tickets?

oh so the sistuation between the 2 characters could have been an imbroglio?

see, you learn by mistakes.

i'm most 85% doing weekend, prob get tickets tomo. The imbroglio over the bec situation has still not been resolved. It has pushed more 60% doing weekend that doing Global. It is a shame it is not yours or Sarahs birthday then she'd have to come... it is looking better, unless they come up with something soon
