Weekend rundowns

Oh so it's a bit like "fiasco" I don't think I'd use it about a person, but about a situation eg. The imbroglio over Bec's mate's birthday party in Brighton. Has that been sorted yet by the way?? When are you getting your Global tickets?

Holly I think fiasco is when there's no hope, when the imbroglio has no solution, it's a total failure. Imbroglio is a complicated sitaution but still there's a bit of hope for it. Both words are italians, fiasco is accepted in spanish and embrollo is the equivalent for imbroglio :D

Fri: Pub then home with copious amounts of wine, beer and goodies to watch the final 8 hours of Lost series 2 - OMG - what a brilliant brilliant ending - got to bed at 7am

Sat: Didnt wake up til 12 - then lazed around the garden sunbathing, reading, eating Ice lollies and nibbles - wonderful..... Got ready around 8 to go to the local for a quick pint, got all dressed looked at each other and just went "nope, not going to happen is it?" Cooked a massive meal and finished off the drink from the night before

Sun: lovely lovely day, did nothing except chill - meant to cut the grass and water the plants but decided to just lie around in the garden instead....

Not a lot to report but a lovely weekend nonetheless....8)

Did nothing worth mentioning thanks to the imbroglio of the london tube network yesterday.

oh, did see Pirates of the Caribbean on sat, no way as good as the 1st i thought.

oh so the sistuation between the 2 characters could have been an imbroglio?

see, you learn by mistakes.

i'm most 85% doing weekend, prob get tickets tomo. The imbroglio over the bec situation has still not been resolved. It has pushed more 60% doing weekend that doing Global. It is a shame it is not yours or Sarahs birthday then she'd have to come... it is looking better, unless they come up with something soon

In this case, I don't think the plot was complicated enough - maybe you could use it about another more complex film. Err, can't think of an example...

Fingers crossed re Global then...:p

Yes, got my ticket.

I think I'm sharing with Paul (for my sins). My mate Dave is prob coming as well and he's the outdoors type so he might have a spare. I'll ask him.

"When my boyfriend told me he wanted to take me up the Oxo Tower for my birthday, I was a bit hesitant at first because I didn't really think it was my scene. How wrong I was! I mean, yeah, so it's a bit of a strain on the old back pocket, and I admit I did feel a bit uncomfortable initially. But a couple of cocktails helped me relax and soon I was really getting into it - we carried on well into the night. It was a great experience and I really loved it - so much so that I won't let my boyfriend take me anywhere else now! So if anyone ever wants to take you up the Oxo Tower, just throw caution to the wind and go for it! "

You mean your grass is still growing?

We haven't had rain here for weeks :? . I haven't seen so much dead grass everywhere since '76.

Good job we have lots of reservoirs. Otherwise we'd be f'd!

BTW pups - today feels hotter than it did in Cyprus 8O

No hosepipe ban up here so sprinkler has been on     - I put feed down a week or so ago - so that helped too....

I know, I picked sis up from airport last night at 9pm and it was still 23 degrees!!!! - today at work its showing 29 - just booked tomorrow afternoon off as Phil is off down to Leeds (which will no doubt entail me lying around the garden again !!) and as Wednesday is supposed to be extremely hot, it seems a shame to come back into the office so booked that day off too!!

Thought it would be a nice day for a picnic somewhere (the kids havent finished school yet up here so nice and quiet too) but then Phil has just informed me that the builders are coming on Wed "sometime between 11 and 5" to estimate the repair work to the kitchen|:spank: :spank: :spank:

So may be a picnic in the garden instead...8) 8) 8) 8)

I HATE cinemas. 8O

I'm not surprised you hate them tho - I can't imagine you sitting still and shutting up for longer than 30 mins without sedation. ;)

I'd be dire financial straits very quickly if we went there all the time!!

8O you liked the cinema last time I made you go

Was in Vienna for family reasons.

Such an amazing city, thoroughly recommend it to anyone. Bit of a lack of cheap, direct flights surprisingly.
