Weekend rundowns

Friday - Very little, drunken crap telly session followed by bed and a few, "Eeeek! I'm moving into the bunker soon!" moments.

Saturday - Nowt.

Sunday am - VVVWI...had a smashing time! Nice to be greeted with so many hellos (Ferd, Morbyd - did you get home ok?, Grego, B___ Nick) even if I did have my 5am, just woken up and out of sync face on.
It's a treat arriving at Turnmills for a breakfast session though. I was a bit miffed about the lack of people in there at first but soon enough the place suddenly filled with a new influx of 8am-ers. ;)
My good intentions of an, "I might just go for a quiet one and just show my face, then go home and do the gym etc" were all scuppered by Ferd because after being palmed with a round of shots I was near enough double dropping.
...Which confirms what I already knew - never trust a Spaniard.
Nick - smashing company as ever. Still very cross that bird went off with my chandalier though. :x It would've looked so nice on the Moroccan themed bunker balcony! 8O

Same place next week then? It's perfect for me because I love mornings and a cheeky Sunday morning Turnmills sesh means I don't wake the boring lazy husband and I can arrive home just in time to catch the end of his lie in!
(Sleep doesn't come very naturally to me at weekends so we have much to thank Tim Sheridan for.)
Oh and the music was fantastic! 8)

Fri - few drinks after work.

Sat - met up with Sandi in the day to be sophisticated ladieeeez who lunch  All started off very well with tapas and a couple of bottles of rose, then we staggered to the pub, downed another couple of bottles of rose and then got on the shots of Sambuca :? By the time our respective b/friends/husbands turned up the sophisticated ladieeeez who lunch now resembled 2 wino bag ladieeeeez

Sun - had a fab day looking and buying stuff for our new house in Kingston and Richmond (including ordering a pink Smeg fridge  ) and then had a veggie roast in a nice country pub out near Richmond way.

Third consecutive clean and wholesome wkend, looking forward to the retox this coming wkend

Healthy weekend of food, rest and relaxation

Couple of DVD's

The Business - excellent film - really entertaining.
Curse of the Were-Rabbit - very funny

I enjoyed my weekend, only marred by the NUFC v Everton match result..

I think next weekend may be carnage - one week on, one week off seems to be all I can cope with these days.....8)

Friday - had drinks with work peeps. Met up in All Bar One (hate these bars, they're so poncey :x ) Had a few drinks then made our way to Bar Rumba for a bit of bootie shaking RnB!
Had a right laugh with the girls from work, got merrily drunk and danced away all night on the dancefloor.
Ended up missing the last train home and after searching for about an hour for a minicab, jumped in a black cab all the way back to Watford which ended up costing £65 :x :x  Sooooooo p1ssed off. I could have done without wasting that kind of money thats for sure.

Saturday - after lounging in bed all morning and afternoon, my mum treated me to dinner in a local restaurant, was debating whether to go out as I'd spent so much on the cab the previous night, but decided to go anyway as I'd not had a good night out with my friends in ages!
We all went to TigerTiger for a mates birthday. Had SUCH a good time... even though it's not my type of bar really. The music was cheesey house, so it was danceable, but the place was filled with tourists and sleazy men!
Nevertheless we had a really good time dancing and running about like loons  .
Ended up getting home at 5am (I dont know where the last couple of hours went 8O ) and having a sore head all day Sunday  :spank:

Sunday - Big roast and lots of rest

Friday: Friend's birthday dinner here in Oxford, had a lovely time and saw lots of people I hadn't seen for ages. Left at about 10.30 to catch the bus to london to go to fiction with a work buddy.

Fiction was fantastic, quite empty, but the deep end darker room was much more full than usual which was weird as it's usually the middle arch that's packed, but the music in there was brilliant, so perhaps people ventured away from funky house for a change...!

Headed back to my friends flat for a bit of a carry on, passed out on their sofa just as my morning alarm went off

Saturday: Woke up around lunch time, realised that I'd left my tickets for together/vvvvwrong in Oxford and there was no-one at home all day for a friend to pick em up so at about 4pm I caught the bus back home, picked up the tickets, put some clothes into the wash and then headed back to london at 7pm  - I actually worked out that it saved me money to do this as if I'd stayed in london I would have probably gone shopping

Went for a couple of drinks in the big chill and then 1001 before heading to gregos friends birthday party just down the road, met grego's completely bonkers friend tom and uncle kenneth (FAR too early to meet him) before heading to turnmills at about 2. Thought together was ok, main room music wasn't really my bag to begin with, room 2 was fab though but too packed, main room got better much later but unfortunately was quite empty and thus very very very cold  . Lovely to meet morbyd again, grego you're a star and hello to mr mark sun too (did you come back after twist? I didn't see you)

vvvwrong was brilliant though, main room was completely empty so didn't spend much time in there but the music in the 2nd room was absolutely spot on, minimally techy dark and clicky and clappy - absolutely perfect for that time of the day :p - fab time being silly with robder, ferd, grego and morbyd (it was a vertiable spotlight orgy  ). Left at 12, headed to the pub with a couple of dirty new friends where there was a gathering of about 30 dontstayin.com people 8O 8O oh my god, I have never been so disgusted with some people's behaviour in all of my life, I was actually worried about some of the girls there they were being so 8O 8O 8O - couple of them finished of an entire bottle of sambuca in about half an hour and were in a very sorry state indeed (I actually thought they were degrading themselves quite severely but I think that's just the snob in me 8O )

got home at about 3pm and slept right the way through to this morning with a quick watch of desperate housewives when I woke up for a bit.

That's me off for a while - might not make cocoon if I decide to go and see my ill granmother that weekend, feeling decidedly wrong today and my feet are in serious pain

spunkymonkey - sorry I didn't see you at fiction, couldn't spot you. I was the boy wearing the waistcoat if you thought you spotted me and wasn't sure...!

Friday: worked till 3pm, had my hair do and then meet pep for some shopping and ended having a sophisticated moment and had a drink at Ommm HOtel's bar for about two hours. Later on met the spanish members at my friend's bar, had a lovely dinner, then some drinks at Zentraus and by 2,00 we got to la Paloma. THe place was quicking off and really busy, lots of fany dresses and a very happy crowd, I hadn't seen the dancefloor so packed in years, the place was so rammed that you had to wait 45 minutes to go to the toilet 8O An Der Beat was brilliant as per normal, lots of hands up moments and exploding moments and silly moments. Sideral played a too dark session for my likings. I left with Xavi by 4,30pm.
Saturday: did nothing except ordering a pizza in the evening and watch footy
Sunday: really really boring day: family do (side Sil) in the morning and family do (side Pep) in the afternoon :?

Fri: Nothing much i don't think

Sat: Work, then spent all afternoon teaching my Dad how to use a computer  , gym then evening in getting smashed with g/f.

Sun: Eat, eat, eat in an urgent attempt to cure the hangover. Lounged in the lounge a few hours then went to do food shop - which turned out to be a MAJOR embarrassment. Filled the trolley up to the brim with goodies, to checkout, bagged it all up then tried to pay. Oh dear, we only had g/f's debit card which turned out to be the old one which was out of date. So was told no option but for them to put it all back. Oh well, just one of those things so headed off home. Half way home g/f decides to tell me she had her cheque book on her, so quick turn around, hurried ourselves back to Sainsbury's, ran in, caught them half way around putting the stuff back. So had to pick it all again, back through checkout to bag it all back up. Oh, well at least we didn't go hungry  Few hair-of-the dog vino's, ate dinner then watched 'Sideways' on Sky Movies - great film - very entertaining and darkly humourous :D

Fiction was really good on Friday.....much better than when I was there 3 weeks ago. We stayed right until the very end when the lights came on.

I had quite a funny conversation with a guy there and a few of his friends. His name was Phil and he works for the trainline.co.uk......he was there for someones birthday so I asked him if there was a guy in the birthday group called Nick...and there was....so after a confusing attempt to tell them how I knew you...they proceeded to go off and try and find this Nick. They never found him so I still dont know if it was you!!!

probably not me, there was no phil in our group...

Not a bad one this week!:D

Fri: Went round my sisters and watched a DVD and that embarrassing 80's programme!

Sat: Caught train to B'ham – had to stand all the way! Great fun! Did a bit of shopping and met my friend David and then went back to his apartment and he styled my hair!

Got home quickly got ready and headed out for birthday drinks! Town was pretty dead - went to our usual club that was full of chavs and letchy men who kept touching us! Was awful so have got to find somewhere else to go!

Sun – Just chilled out all day!

I've decided to stay in for a few weeks and then save up and come down to London!

Fri - Nothing.
Sat - Lady Lunch with Babs, 5 bottles of wine and a few sambucas later!!!!!!
Sun - Felt rough all day, cooked a nice big Nut roast for me and Dom and went to bed.

Long weekend for me, and one of significant ups and downs! Here we go:

Wednesday - Flight to Gatwick delayed by almost 4 hours, making us very nervous about making it to Chelsea in time. We ended up arriving at the hotel at 5, just in time to change and head to Stamford Bridge for Chelsea v Barcelona. Post-game commiseration drinks with some friends.

Thursday - The missus went shopping while I wandered around town trying to keep myself busy  Ended up taking a walk along Hyde Park and going shopping in Knightsbridge. Dinner with some friends of ours in Chelsea. Relaxed day.

Friday - First part of day was same as Thursday, only I took the walk down Portabello Rd and went shopping on Bond St. Dinner at Balans in Kensington (the missus insists our waiter was flirting with me ) and then we went to meet a friend and his friends at a pub near Russel Sq. Afterwards, one crazy Salvadoran in the group decided we should go to this bar where he "saw all kinds of crazy people and transvestites coming out of the door one night." Sounded interesting, but it turned out to be a late night bowling alley  One very drunk game played - and Morbyd wins! 8)

Saturday - dragged my butt out of bed at lunchtime to attend Chelsea v. Portsmouth (boring game, but a win is good). After-game drinks with one group of friends. After-after-game drinks with another group. Back to the hotel to pack and then off to Turnmills for Together/Veryveryverywrongindeed. :D Only downside: the missus bailed out on me (which would turn out to be a good decision - see Sunday)

Turnmills isn't the best designed club but I found it pretty easy to get around. Was greeted by the great sounds of Spotlight's own DJ Anil Chawla and the fabulous Mr Mark Sun (very chuffed to see the crowd's reacion to his song Dawnlight when Anil dropped it :D). T2 was a bit like a sauna so wandered off for a bit then back to find Naddyz, Grego and their friends (Tom is a riot and Lea gorgeous). Trentemoller was up next but I was more impressed by Cassius (and the main room, while chilly, more tolerable). Also liked Justin Robertson's set. Happy to finally meet Robder and Fronty and also to see Ferd who tried to ply an already far-gone Morbyd with tequila (thanks for not rubbing in the Barca-Chelsea thing too much ;)). Great to see you all and thanks for a great time.

Sunday - Headed back to the hotel at 8ish for a quick shower and off to Gatwick where we ended up spending all day (8 hours!) delayed due to a "technical problem". Word of advice: Never fly Transaero! (back to Aeroflot for us!). Home at 4:30am and slept in Monday morning making it to work about lunchtime.

Had a terrific weekend, unforgetable!!!

Thursday nigth flyied with my sister Apo to Barcelona, arrived really late so went to the hotel that was located id the city centre just a few f streets of Plaça Sant Jaume and to bed.
Friday morning waked up without clock alarm filling very fresh and with lots of energy, went to walkabout, we decided to go to the barri Gotic, the Gotic quarter, beautifull place full of amazing buildings and churches and the cathedral!!!!. We also went out for lunc to a restaurant called Bilbao Berria wich our mother and sister had recommended us from their last visit to Barcelona. Wasn't at all dissapointed, we really had a nice meal. We also got just a little bit drunk so after lunch we started visiting shops and buying some things ( how strange!!!), later on we we really enjoyed our visit to this church called Santa Maria de Mar witch is a terrific building, I was really impressed with the stunning inside. Had a call from my friend saying that it was snowing in mallorca. went back to the hotel to get ready an meet the spanish gang.
Nigth: Meet lovely Silvia in the top of Las ramblas and went together to 52 her friends restaurant. Had beers at the counter while waiting for the other members wich we had allready met before, we also met Anderixo and her friend Sabina for the first time.
We had a lovely dinner and felt like old friends. Went to a bar wich I don't remember the name and then to la Paloma, we went straigth in thanks to Silvias influentials. This place was really amazing and it was really packed, I enjoyed myself a lot, danced, spoke a lot, really a lot of fun!!!!!! at about 6 went out and while Montse, Hector, Rebeka and Isaac went to Souvenir me and Apo went back to the hotel cause our foots were killing us, I know is not a good idea to club with heel shoes.
Saturday wanted to visit a museum in Monjuic but the idea went out of our head when we woke up, so as it was so sunny we decided for a paella in La Barceloneta, Montse gave us some tips of restaurants, tryied Kaiku and Ca'n Manel but was so crowed that no way we could have lunch there, so as the taxi driver in our way to the Barceloneta had also recommended a restaurant we went for it. It was called Salamanca and we had a great meal consisting of Ibericos and chipirones as a starters and a seafood paella as main course, all with beers and a delicious viñasol.
At that point Hector called us to meet and go to see la Sagrada familia, we first went for a long cofee chated a lot and then Xavi came and we all went to see la Sagrada Familia, Xavi had a huge knowledge of the history of La sagrada Familia, the surroundings, well he knows a lot of the history of Barcelona, so we really enjoyed the visit, is better when somebody explains everything to you, after we went to his flat with Hector and chated a little bit and after said a goodbye till next time!!!
At nigth met Montse and Sergi and went for dinner at Cafe La sal in the paseo Marítimo, had a very nice dinner talked a lot an then went to Moog where we had a quite drink before heading to dance...our intention was to go before 2 oclock but at the end stayed till 3am and somenthing, sadly we couldn't stay for longer said another goodbye till next time !!!!! had a half an hour snap and at half past four woke up, taxi was awaiting at five and went to the airport.
Really enjoyed this weekend in Barcelona. Was great!!!!!!

I walked up as Ferd, Naddyz, Grego and Lea were downing a shot and then Ferd offered me one, but I declined as I had to leave soon and was already in a right state
