Weekend Rundowns

Fri: Went out straight from work - started off with a double cubra libra so it got messy quite quickly - my shoulders started killing at about 10 so had to stop drinking ! Went to a really dodgy club that was full of old people dancing to house music (not a good look!!) Came out of there and went to my fave club! :) Was ok never busy on friday but got to chat to the nice bar man! Also had to apologise to a bloke who i'd said has only one set of clothes last week!

Sat: Did a spot of shopping in the day. Got home watched X Factor was supposed to go out but people were a let down and I was quite emotional after X Factor so watched Parky and went to bed!

Sun: So pleasant not to have a hangover!! Went into town to look for a warm coat for NY thenm chilled in the evening!!

Mon: Went out on my old works xmas do after work - think there were polesm involved!! Feel really rough today!!

An absolutely class weekend:

Fri: Jacques Lu Cont is one of my new fav DJ's, he was outstanding at Fabric. Great tune after great tune. Never seen the main room at Fabric go off as much as on friday. Good to bump into Barbie and Gollum every once in a while in there on friday, dont think we wouldve made much sense had we tried to talk

Sat: Was tempted to visit Barbies afterhours shenanigans, but I resisted bravely ;)
Final Serious at The Cross. One of the best ones to date, they DIDNT pack it out 8O , and it seemed every single regular of the past 10 years all turned out for old times sake. Such a great atmosphere all night. Oliver Lang and Eddie Halliwell were the best. Eddie is so good technically, and he's got so much energy when he DJ's it's hard not to get caught up in the moment. Hats off to him.

Sunday and yesterday.. rest

i qd for this for 45mins at 10pm only to be told when i got to the front of the q that it was all ticket only and no pay on the door - Then the people who where behind me who didnt have tickets got in !!!

Needless to say i actualy wrote to the manager as it was a 2hour journey from where i come from althou i went to the egg to see tim sheridan which werent too bad !!

Yet again the weekend reminds me why alcohol doesnt agree with me...must stick to illegal alternatives:

Fri: Was supposed to have a lady friend over, but had had such a crap day I needed to go out. So, went and met a mate who was on his staff night out and needed rescuing:lol: Next thing I know, its 8am the next morning...and I cant remember anything. Apparently went to two clubs:?

Sat: Had to work all day:evil: , then staff night out in the evening. Really nice meal, all ended up having far too many shots. Funny part was watching the new younger guys trying to keep up, and ending up in a heap:lol: Went on to not to bad a club, but yet again...yes, cant remember anything after that point:evil:

Sun: Went to the cinema to see Narnia, but was so tired I slept most of the way through it.

So, lesson final learnt after a few 'clean' weekends: their not fun;)

I'm either finding a sensitive side to myself finally or I've done too many emotion-altering substances lately - you be the judge ;)

Hmmm.. thats not on... were the people behind you a group of girls??

I mean I was pleased they they decided to turn people away at some point because it meant there was more room inside (they usually let everyone in and it gets ridiculously packed), but at the same time they should turn away EVERYONE regardless once it gets to their limit. I hate it when they simply pick who they let in for no good reason what so ever.

It was the last Serious there and becuase of it I knew loads of people that got advance tickets, plus there's all the members they have to allow for too. You shouldve let me know you were coming you couldve got you in with some members I knew.

At least you had a good night at Egg. :D

I'd like to put in a vote for Fabric as an excellent Friday night host.

I bought a ticket online which was a bit of a novelty and felt I got good value for my £11.38 or whatever it was.

I didn't see the bands in the main room but the ones in the other room were very entertaining, esp. the guys in the skeleton suits who came on last. Panico maybe? Props to the jocks inc. Filthy Dukes.

Apologies for completely failing to spot any of the Spotlighters who went. My vision must have been impaired by lager.

8O
