I like the idea! At least in Ibiza there would be less chance of the festival drowning into mud than in the UK.

Woke up on time today, bright eyed and all. :D
You're not going to join me in the insomnia club today then?
Nah, dude... sorry. Out like a lightbulb last night. Probably a factor of the insane amount of beer I consumed this weekend.

Fri - usual ressie gig, only it kicked off 25 minutes before midnight, and obviously killed the atmosphere. Only the 2nd time in 3 1/2 years! Tossers. Apparently, they knocked a guy out cold in the nightclub 1/2 an hour later & got arrested & locked up for the night. Idiots.

Sat - Excellent night, very busy and great atmosphere. Fit burd (Lara Croft lookalikey) that was gonna go to Shindig @ Digital with me bailed. Saving her money for Creamfields. Finished at midnight, took my gear home, quick freshen up and off to Shindig for Satoshi Tomie and Sasha. Got there at 1am and no queues. Excellent night, absolutely jam packed. Had a quick explore finding all the rooms and roof terrace etc. Sasha came on at 1.30am til 4am. Spent most of the night at the side of the DJ stand watching him work as he is using the same software I've just bought. Its not quite as loud as on the dancefloor too, some idiots were dancing right in front of the hooooooj loud speakers, I mean virtually leaning on them. They'll probably be deaf in a couple of years. :D No drinky poos as I was driving. :(

Sun - Saw fit burd who was regretting not going last after telling her how good it was.

Doing holiday cover in another busy bar in my hometown. Totally rocked the joint and blew the manager away. Not surprising as their DJ's are novices and don't know how to use the Bose sound system or how to setup and use the mic properly. At the end of the night he said he wanted me for his nightclub just up the street, but, gonna try and sort a Thursday night for me. It's tempting, might play 'they'll pay me more' game. :D Again no drinky poos as I never drink while DJing and always driving to transport my gear anyway. ;)

Birthday tomorrow, so, will probably empty Wetherspoons cellar tonight with a few friends.

Happy Birthday for tomorrow!

Friday: My DJ debut. :D

Saturday: Watched City beat Brummies and drank several pints in the process, leaving me very merry before heading off to a flat-warming. I think proceeded to get more merry and then headed to a mate's birthdaty party - at about 4am. No idea how I got there.

Sunday: Recovered and watched The Family Guy film.

Clara, you featured in my thoughts briefly on Sunday morning - nothing to worry about honest  . In the Observer Music Monthly Mag the 'Music Doctor' patient was Michelle Ryan (formely Zoe Slater from Walford) and one of the records she was 'prescribed' was an album from Optima (sp?).

For the record, pun intended, she said it was 'too hard' [JJinit to insert predictable Michelle Ryan/errection gag here]. But then she didn't take to anything vaguely modern.

I'm flattered!

I actually purchased said journal yesterday morning but only briefly flicked through the Music Monthly magazine. Was it the Optimo Kill The DJ mix or Psyche Out? Neither are especially 'hard' but I don't know what she's accustomed to!

Kill the DJ. And of course it's Optimo. Optima is in fact a joint venture company that does Highways Agency work. Not that that's particularly relevant.

Have a read of it - always fascinates when people haven't heard mcuh music. How do you get to 21 in this day and age and not know Massive Attack. No, really, she hadn't!

Fri - Cleaned up my apartment prior to my folks arriving from Austin, TX.

Sat - Picked up my folks, and everything started going downhill from there.
