Weekend Rundowns

Friday - got sloshed with a client.

Sat - lie in cancelled by 6.30am call informing of ructions bewteen a couple of employees. Got back home for mid-day

Sat night/Sun - Ministry, The Key and then the Papermill in Shoreditch. Home about 7 or 8 last night. All good bar the unfortunate incident in which I had to bribe The Key's bouncers not to throw me out after they caught me livening myself up

The weekend was superb :D

NSDM at Ministry was great especially as so many of us were out. Some of my friends that haven't been to MoS for years came along and surprisingly enough thoroughly enjoyed themselves (Ferd, you are not alone ). I don't know where the night went, it flew by.

Great to see the usuals there. No worries Ferd about the goodbyes, I think I left without saying goodbye to lots of people. One minute we were there, the next on our way to the Key. It was my first time there and I quite enjoyed it, the music wasn't as bad as I thought it would be either.

Buckley, I thought the security in there was appalling. They were all pissed. Downing shots like there was no tomorrow and generally being complete tossers!

The funniest thing I saw was my friend Angela and someone else who I can't remember try to slide past the till to avoid paying to get in. The woman practically chased her into the club

Friday: out in oxford with some mates and work mates to Po Na Na here in Oxford where they play pretty much every possible genre of music. Watched as the intern proceeded to pull and then leave with yet another member of staff..

Saturday: Spur of the moment decided to go to london again :D where I met up with a friend for a bottle of wine in the big chill, then we decided we were too poor to drink out tonight so went back to hers to guzzle some vodka. Hit a small club at about midnight near brick lane that was playing tech-house and electro, was actually damn good, nice crowd and super cheap. After this headed to a warehouse party about 15 minutes away, although to be honest I have no idea exactly where it was, pretty far gone by this time... then finally on to 'public life' for afters, which is a club built into an old public toilet, which was quite a surreal experience. Ended up going a bit overboard and having to leave  8O 8O

Felt disgusting on sunday and had to interview a new house mate, pretty sure I didn't leave a good impression, I kept on banging my head on the table   and chain smoking fags.

Overall one of my best weekends again, as I get to know london better they really do improve. My new mission is to seek out secret little nights and take more chances, it's definitely the way forward!

Friday: Some computer stuff interspersed with BB final

Saturday: Work(am), haircut+get pissed wet through getting there, excellent Thai meal with friends in the evening. Proceeding to head to a late bar and managed to lose girlfriend & friends en-route. Couldn't find them so went to a cash machine to draw out cash for a cab but it took my card  Couldn't think whether i had cash at home so ended up walking home which was a good 6/7 miles 8O Took me about 3/4 hours :( My legs are aching like hell today

Sunday: Drove to St Annes (with a monumental hangover) to collect girlfriend's mum, drove back and vegged out.

Usual Sunday night insomnia too which hasn't helped heal the wounds.

Must be. Vinny is a sound bloke, seem to quite frequently run into him on my forays around London's techier nights

If it's the Vinny I'm thinking of, he's quite tall, and looks like he should be scottish, bnut actually isn't?

Had another one of my traditional disco naps downstairs at the key...

Another legendary weekend, met loads of peeps from here, there...

Probably a few of them weren't even there!!!!

Yup, assholes to a man. Couldn't complain about being caught and them nicking the goods but they behaviour in general was a pain.

Bouncers in the Key? Tossers?

I thought they were very sporting in giving those guys a 2 metre head start before beating the living shit out of the with extendable batons and the like.

Indeed.

The bouncers at the Key actively provoked a fight with 5 or 6 guys that were refused entry - pulling batons and assorted other weaponary when the fighting started. The whole queue was held up while the entire security team participated in the brawl.

Add to this their shoddy appearance, poor grasp of English and extremely threatening manner and I would say the Key employs a team of drunken thugs to police their door. I have never seen such an unprofessional door team - they were hiding behind plant pots downing shots in one of the rooms for gods sake!

By the way kang, the other person who tried to slip past the till at the Key was x-amount. Clearly his chameleon powers deserted him for once

I'd forgotten about that! Totally unnecessary and left the door with no-one on it. Very unprofessional.

Angela's face was a picture. She toyed with the idea of just ignoring the woman and walking faster

I really enjoyed NDSM on Saturday. Great company helped ;)

Ministry is very full of tossers though. even (babs) more so than turnmills imho. mrs russ was getting sleazed on ALOT and i will leave Scoobie to fill in her details!! not too may smiling faces around to be honest.

Music was great though, sleazy electro with some much needed vocals. agreed Mike Monday was great, as were the guys djing the bar.

what is it about smokin jo? she seems to be so grim faced and doesn't seem to do any work. tim sheridan aint a great dj technically but he knows a great choon and is fulla life. and why they cant turn on the aircon in the main room?

Loved the vip bar too. don't know if i could go back to ministry again without access to that refuge 8)

spent sunday with some weary/wasted people watching (trying to watch) football.
