Weekend Rundowns

Ahh, sorry to hear about your purse Sar, hope you get it all sorted asap :D

Like Discoman said....you can get an insurance thing through CPP that means one call to them cancels and reorders all your cards and things...they also cover you for fraud/loss and things too and the service works all round the world. It's only about £15 a year or something, worth checking out 8)

what is an oyster card?

It's like a credit card that you put money on for your travel card for the tube/buses so you don't have to pay for individual tickets, I normally have about £20 pre-pay on it.

never stupid enough to take them all out at the same time tho

I wouldn't say it's particularly stupid to carry a visa card and cash card, I'd been shopping so would automatically take all other cards, I need an Oyster card to get from a to b and always carry my driving licence even tho I don't drive as a means of identification

ok fair enough
once you get this all sorted you should ask you credit card people if they have a service where they can cancel all your cards in one go if this happens again... even other credit cards....
once of my cards offered me this service and if this did happen to you again it would take all the stress out of sorting things out

I always pay extra on my home insurance for things been lost/stolen away from home so I'm covered in that sense, I didn't know you could do something to get everything covered with one call, that's the worse thing today trying to remember everything that was in purse  Will definitely invest in future.

Oh, and i hope you aren't unfortunate enough to use HSBC for any cards! I lost my HSBC credit card Three months ago and i've had Five replacement cards sent, not one of which works with Chip and pin EPOS machines   The cards just crash the machines. They've finally admitted that there is a manufacturing problem but they can't sort it - v annoying!

Mine was really sensible

Fri: Drinks with work friends to celebrate my upcoming and my work mate's 40th's. Mixed my drinks quite a bit which I worried about, but has to be said, I survived the evening, lost all my workmates around 11 but found two of my gay friends so ended up drinking around the pink bars of newcastle - I went to one bar and realised why my friend is still single and is struggling with the totty on offer for her - most of the girls in one bar looked like stereotypical butch prison wardens, in fact I though one of the girls in the bar was Tyrone from Coronation Street!! 8O
Home by 12.00am - still compus mentus and capable of speech back home with Mr PL.

Sat: Party in the afternoon for another friends 40th (bloody hell its catching). Great day in the biggest garden I have ever been in - bouncy castles for the kids (and Mr PL   ) massive inflatable climbing wall which was brilliant - until I got to the top (35') and suddenly looked down and promptly left loose of the rope and dropped like a stone - luckily it was inflatable so I bounced rather well - but sure I jostled a few teeth/bones loose in the process..... Left that party at 7 to go to another 40th birthday dinner party - which was really lovely and civilized. Took some lovely fresh herbs round for after dinner smokes - whereby the host promptly took a massive whitey around 11.30pm - what a waste of delicious food    We decided to leave him and the downstairs toilet in the embrace of love....... oh how we laughed on the way home.....

Sun: too much alcohol over the weekend - felt like a zombie and lay around reading Sunday papers all day and eating crap......

Still all in all a very good sensible weekend......

Really sorry to hear that, Babs. Losing the cards in all is a royal pain.
Hope you get it all straightened out soon enough.

I'm sat here crying trying to remember everything that needs to be cancelled. I did my main credit card and debit card last night but stupidly I carry everything else in my purse so there's Oyster card, store cards, driving licence, you name it

Bloody hell, sorry to hear that Babs - was that after I saw you???

After we'd said bye to you we were walking back to Jamies and stopped off at Bagel Shop on Brick Lane and it happened sometime around there, I'm not sure cos I didn't get my purse out then but I knew I'd had it after leaving bar.

Lovely to see you last night tho as always ;)

No I managed to get home about 2am this morning  I've been able to report it to my local police station so just done that, got the crime no and all that malarky so at least most of the hassle is out the way now

Just sat at home without a penny to my name, I can't even buy a bag of crisps, thank god I've still got Duty Free fags to chainsmoke my way thru ;)

Friday - Went to see the Prodigy @ Edinburgh Corn Exchange in Edinburgh. I've never been a big Prodigy fan but they put on some show, the crowd were superb, everyone was pogoing like f***. Quality gig like, enjoyed it. For me, the highlight of the night was Utah Saints and Leeroy at Cabaret Voltaire afterwords, they were f***in quality! Phat as f***, intense breaks all night, amazing! :D

Saturday - Went to Sessions in Dundee, quality techy, housey beats from the resident. Went back to a party after and got my hole off some random lass (who's name I can't remember  ), result!

Sunday - Got home from the party at about 11am then went to bed. Woke up about 7pm then just watched TV.

They were amazing at T In The Park.

Did they play a lot of stuff off the first two albums?

my purse was stolen/lost from my back pocket.

:( Noooooo! Not good.

(but that's what you get for surrendering to the grown ups! )

btw - Auntie Weese has officially moved down...she's nursing me with recovery juices at the mo.

Let's all have a posh Hoxton cocktail soon!

I'm not sure, as I said, I'm not really a fan so I hardly know any of their tunes, just went for the crack. I did recognise some tunes though, first tune was Breathe, Firestarter later and Out In Space was last. 8)

I know, last time I have a grown-up, civilised wkend, I'd have been better off crawling home on a Sunday night after a Pride/Ministry/Secretsundaze triple header instead of cancelling bloody credit cards

Ooh give Weese a big x from me :D

Weekend rundown is also a very good awakening for me too because after this weekend I AM NEVER GOING OUT AGAIN 8O

friday i decided to call in sick and started drinking quite early. I had a crumpet to eat all day so i think the early drinking and the fact that id put any food in me for energy took its toll. I was quite tired early on but still went to hed kandi anyway to see John and Andy. Normally our friend Sav normally does the warm up for them but he was away in Ibiza so we had the delight of lisening to young thing (who was actually quite sweet) play the same tune twice in about 30 mins.

Anyway we hadnt been to bham kandi for ages so it was nice, John declared his toilet needs to me and that i had nice feet, i think he was a little drunk . We went back home as soon we had dropped them off and got to bed. After about 2 hours disturbed sleep we got up and packed our bags and were out the house by 9am to go and see the estate agent and sign the forms for the new place. Headed straight down to London and checked into out lovely hotel. So so nice and relaxing, we got there at about 12.30 and the first thing we done was put on the robes, order room service and have a doze. Im not actually sure if i had a sleep, it didnt feel like i did. We got up at 8pm and went for something to eat, we were surrounded by italian restaurants so we went to a lovely little one on the orner, got back at 10pm and then started to get ready. We went down to the bar to enjoy our second bottle of wine for the night, wed had 3 by the time we left so i was a little tipsy but still quite sensible

We left the bar hotel and 1am so we could see the end of Axwells set, as i said i was quite tipsy, so much so that i wanted to hold stoneys headphones into the club 8O 8O

It all went so fast, the Cross itself is a brilliant club. I think the fact that its so crowded makes it what it is. Very intimate and loads of friendly faces. Me going mad and shouting whooooooo at the front  . The one thing i will say about it is that there seemed to be a lot of men with wandering hands, the occasional 'Nice **** love', right because thats going to tempt me. Seamus Haji came in to see the end of Stoneys set **embarrasing moment number 1** me going up to him thinking i was really cool saying how much i loved his remix of Take me Away    and he was so nice that he just smiled and said thanks.

**embarrasing moment number 2** Joey gave me his card to get some cash out of the little cash machine in the corner of the club and i removed the receipt that was sticking out of the receipt despenser ans shoved the card up there, got it back in the end but then after all the confusion i couldnt remember the pin  :oops

We left at 6am and you would have thought it would have been a good idea to leave about now wouldnt you but ooohhh nooooooooo we decided to go to Formulate. Why oh why did they put it across the road

Oh its okay i said, we'll just stay for an hour. We left at 12pm

I dont really remember much from here but bumping into the lovely little ferdy who filled me in on the big brother scandal and gossip from fridays eviction

I liked the terrace part of the club where i met some nice people but i was so glad to leave when we did. We had a freind come back to the hotel where his car was towed away about 5 mins after we'd parked it. Off to the compound to get it for them to say that he needs 200 quid and some ID which he didnt have so we left to go and sit in the pub. It was all a bit much for me so i had to go and lie on the bench in the garden. We left after an hour and decided to go and have a lie down in the park and try and sleep. Id had about 2 hours sleep since i got up from friday so i was completley destroyed. I couldnt sleep because i swear everytime i tried to sleep and was just dropping off t felt like i was pulling funny faces and then i would jump awake. We left the park at 5pm and headed on to Centro in Richmond.

Joey had got asked to play at Centro in Richmond for John and Andy which was just as well because John went to go a lie down upstairs and was still there at 9pm . I was struggling to stand up and with so many fresh faces around me it made me worse

We left at 9.15 which i felt bad about doing because i think its rude for someone to play a set and then go without good reason but i couldnt smile anymore and looked like a right arsehole

We got back at 11.30 pm last night and after id convinced myself that i wasnt pulling funy faces i slept. I woke up this morning a little tired but decided to go to work and say that im still ill and come home at 12.30. I lasted until 10.30 and had to get Joey to come and get me who is also off ill. It was strange because i couldnt see properly, i couldnt see any words. We got a maccy's and then come home and ate it in bed.

Got the next few weekends free now until Amsterdam at the end of the bank holiday but i swear i am never drinking or doing any naughties again!! FACT!!!

Friday- Rolando in this tiny club in manchester which was pretty good
Sat- Dpercussion, then Sankeys, then hotel where it had a 24 hour bar -lethal, then back to a mates place in liverpool getting trashed till last night.
Feeling ok considering.
