Relaxing at home late on a Sunday evening... thought I'd get the ball rolling so here goes:

Friday - My brother-in-law and his girlfriend made a suprise visit to Moscow so me and the missus took them out for an Italian dinner. From there we moved on to a bar and then met up with a bunch of people before heading to club First. We went inside but some others in the group got caught at face control, so after an hour or so we headed over to meet them at club XIII. Danced around and went home around 5ish.

Saturday - Spent the afternoon on the terrace at Starlite Diner with an American friend of mine who is repatriating to the motherland this week :( Substantial amounts of beer were consumed with our meal and for about 3 hours after. I slipped home for a 2 hour nap (a wee bit wasted at that point) while the missus got ready to go out, and then we went to club XIII again to meet up with her brother & friends again. Some UK DJ named Lego Boy (Pushca) was not impressing so off to club Fabrique where the Irish DJ duo Potbelleez were giving quite an animated whiskey-fuelled performance, followed by a local DJ who played some cracking tunes. People from our group of 11 started disappearing until I was the only one left 8O Finally went home around 7ish.

Sunday - lazed around a bit before heading to the sports ball to watch Didier Drogba prove ALL the haters wrong as Chelsea showed Arsenal who's boss in the Community Shield :D :D :D

Now sitting here at 11pm trying to decide at what point should I just go ahead and pass out

Fri: Was going to have a quiet one, but quickly decided against it  Had just recieved news that my ex was actually someone else when we were together, so decided best thing for it was to go get trashed :P So, by 8pm all my mates were round, including an honorary visit from Charlie :D Headed into town early, and even by my own standards...was a complete slag

Great night, ended up getting home around 10am Saturday with a very sore head

Sat: Felt awful, but headed into town for some lunch and shopping :D Was supposed to head out at night, but no way!! A girl I had met the night before came over, got a DVD, and had a very nice chilled night :D 8)

Sun: Slept in all morning, then headed 15 miles south to catch a fun day/excuse for drinking at a nearby town. Lots of people, then back home to chill :D

:D 8)

Fri: Travel to Bristol - fall asleep on other halfs knee on sofa at 9.30pm
Sat: Pootle round Bristol then back for tea then some small pub for a quick one before bed at midnight 8O (I think i'm getting old!)
Sun: Up early to go to the red bull air race which was fantastic and i'm now sat here with a glass of wine, slightly resembling a cooked lobster (someone forgot the suncream ) Quick shower then off round to the other halfs mates (once they finish watching top gear) for civilised drinks in the garden
Mon: Walk to bristol zoo (i've never been to a zoo before ) then on to the downs for a picnic and more sunbathing (nothing less than traffic light red will do obviously lol)
Oh yer....weekend.....but I have all of next week off - Nah nah nah nah nah :P

Friday - out with parents for a meal.

saturday - sanchez at turnmills. Again he delivered the goods. Stayed till close (8 am) where his last tune was eurythmics - sweet dreams - Got home just before 10 thanks to the trains

Friday: Went out with a few work mates here in Oxford, got royally drunk and went to Oxford's premier house night with some other friends we'd picked up on the way. Watched the intern at work snogging and then leaving with YET ANOTHER workmate  the little slag

Saturday: Woke up incredibly hungover, caught the bus to london at about 2pm, met up with some friends and some awful girls who insisted on telling me how amazing their trip to St Tropez was, how they were showered with Cristal and coke etc etc - wannabe prostitutes imho...
Then went drinking in Soho before heading to shadow lounge where I met some cute boys

Sunday: After about 6 hrs sleep decided that shopping would be the best idea, picked up some lovely half price tops in Liberty which I'm very pleased with

now I'm back at home in Oxford deciding whether I can be arsed to put a wash on or just wear a dirty shirt tomorrow at work...

Overall a good one but spent far too much money!

Quite good game, S-W-P looked comfy getting used to his new position on the bench  ;) Drogba should get an oscar for his acting/diving

Oh, and.....

In the last 20 years the team who won the charity shiled has only gone on to win.....

The League twice.

The FA Cup Three Times.

And never won a European competition.

;) :P

Fri - quiet nite in

Sat - golf in the morning then booked the honeymoon for next year - a week in Mexico at a lovely hotel (going to arrange a long weekend in New York too - have to wait for the Yankee schedule to come out ;) )

Sat nite - off to the Arches for Colours Summer party. Disappointed right at the start with the notice that Lawler had cancelled (apparently due to illness and he missed Dance Valley too, anyone confirm?)

Wandered around and caught a bit of the 3 rooms (1 prog, 1 hed kandi and the Sasha arch)

Paolo Mojo impressed but not overly so but SASHA was absolutely on form, immense. Cracking tunes all night, although a couple of shutdowns for his Abelton software :? . Left at 5am (last tune i heard Fused - Terror :D ). Absolutely cracking night, danced my wee arse off.

Steve Lawler will just have to make it up to me by either extending Viva 1 week or playing elsewhere when i'm in Ibiza.

:D :D :D

Sun - went to see Fantastic Four - ok movie but the Marvel ones are becoming very formulaic

macdonsj,

What was the crowd like at The Arches? Decided to give it a miss of late cause it was just getting too bad

Was better than i've noticed before
I haven't been much to the Arches recently too

Still got a few "Here we, here we" crap
but it was more of a crowd in to hear Sasha IMO

Brilliant night

Friday Night:

Took things easy, and watched a couple of movies, Birth (Nicole Kidman) and Bride and Prejudice.

Saturday:

I went for my first day of Samurai Arts class. Drove to Laguna to meet friends. Came back to SD, and went to see friends in Downtown SD who were in town from AZ.

Sunday:

Spent most of my time at the beach recuperating from a hectic Saturday. Now I'm gonna watch The Notebook.

Fri: Declined a slice of hed kandi with Maumbs & LJ due to financial embarrassment  So was a chore bore instead.

Sat: Gym. Get ready for date and Sat eve. Bit apprehensive as I've been told I don't need to put my hand in my pocket all night 8O  great night :D , plenty to drink, had a chinese, watched a dvd & a video of my date boxing when he was younger.

Sun: :x Out on the road at 0730hrs, as my date has left to fly out to USA for work. Go around parents & sunbathe, me & Blister on high jinx all afternoon   . Have roast beef dinner :)
Go to kick box.

Do you think that the failings of mere mortal teams who have previously won the shield apply to the immortals of Chelsea!? I think not... buhhahahahaaaa  :P

If you watched the replay, it was quite apparent that Lauren raked the back of his leg. Why don't you let me do that to you and see how you react

Friday - Leaving doo from work for a colleague

Sat - Working

Sat evening - travelled down to Ballycastle, stayed in a caravan and had a bbq and too much rose wine

Sunday - even with the sore head headed out on the boat for some fishing (Big mistake) I thought were going to drown, waves were coming up over the boat and everything  which didnt help the hangover

I'm guessing it wouldn't make N8's leg spin at a right angle to the impact  . But all footballers cheat, so you can't single Drogba out.

Morning my lovelies!!!
There's me feeling all lonely and 'urgh' at home and I forgot about all my virtual pals! 8O

Have just had the most blinding weekend ever (again).

Friday - travelled down to Brighton and had a fairly quiet evening 8O taking in a few pubs (although these bits weren't that quiet to be honest).

Saturday - Vodka brekkie and onto Rurn & Jiblin's (Brighton pals) legendary pre pride champagne breakfast warm up. Post party, we watched the parade and fell into the park.
The rest is a blur but the atmosphere was amazing throughout (as always). This year, it had got much bigger and the party continued on the streets where there were loads of sound systems which played through till the early hours followed by an even bigger party on the beach by black rock. 8O

Sunday - Decided it might be a good idea to eat something :? managed a couple of bites of a burger and headed to Brighton Rock for their street party...it's become an institution in recent years and is easily my fave part of the weekend.
Weather was lovely, music was reeeeally trashy (oh my word!) and I knew pretty much everyone there so it was great to have everyone in one place.
MASSIVELY trollied :? ...and loads of strange stories to tell involving Camilla badges, tins of pilchards, David Hasselhoff, a furry squid and full selection of plastic farm animals (oh dear).

...and I'm all smiles today because I've met the most smashingest bloke ever (have been stalking him for weeks actually). Yes! ROBDER'S CAUGHT A LIVE ONE! (At least I think I have...don't want to jinx it so I'll move on.)

Anyone mind delivering a food parcel when they have a mo?

(PS - I think we've lost Barbie to the grown ups! 8O)

Fri - Out to dinner with friends

Sat - Work in the morning and then went to see Barnet play. Chap I went to school with is their star striker and ran into him last Monday night and said I'd go. Watchable 1-1 draw, both goals gifted by defensive howlers. To be honest, the general standard was much lower than I expected. Few beers after and an early night.

Sun - Work for few hours in the morning, went home and cooked a heart attack on a plate  for breakfast and then went to the pub and watched the match. Was in bed by 9.30pm and in work at 5.30am this morning.

Rock and roll, eh?

The ball was already whistled dead so it wouldn't have been a penalty, and he had an ice pack on it after the game... Drogba has taken some theatrical falls in the past but I think this time it was sincere.

 Did you see his grin as he answered "Yeah, I think I'll be fit.." when they panned down to his bandaged kneed avec ice and asked if he'd make next weeks game? He could barely contain his amusement!

Had a lovely weekend. Went for drinks on Friday and then on Saturday went on the most lovely boat-trip, organised by Outer Drive at the Sub Club. Such a beautiful evening and sailed from 7pm to 11pm to the Kyles of Bute. Spectacular scenery so just stood on deck all night, gazing in awe at everything. Good music too! Then got bused back to Glasgow and went to a friends for fun and frolics.

Yesterday sat outside enjoying a couple of nice ales over the Sunday papers. Bliss!
