Weekend Rundowns

Friday : Chilled night

Saturday : Type at Cross... :roll: :roll: ...oh dear...dragged along for mate's bday

Sunday : Lovely day in the sunshine... :D :D :D
 
Friday: Stayed in chilling out with my girlfriend in preperation for sat

Saturday: Drinks at Elephant & Castle then on th NDSM. What a night! Loved every minute of it my met Robo and Buckley which was nice (although I dout if Buckley remembers it!). Our loser mates left about 6am mleaving me and the girlfriend for the last hour.

Left Ministry about 7 jumped in a cab to SE1. On the way the cab get pulled over for jumping a red light! It was a bit scary as we were both 8O in the cab. Got to SE1 had a blinding time at the Aftershow met Tim probably made a twat out of my self but nevermind!


Left SE1 at 10 ish got the Train home got into bed about 11 and slept till around 4.30, Cooked dinner and watched good crap films till it was time for sleep :D

Fri - cant remember

Sat - Met Ferd and mates at their new place in London bridge...nice place and nice area, like being taken back in time...in fact I was somewhat surprised at not bumping into Oliver twist or see chitty chitty bang bang flying over head :lol:
Then onto NDSM which for me was highly enjoyable but not a 10 out of 10 I'm afraid. Reason being that I didn't much take to the crowd (apart from all spotlighters of course) like someone else said it did have a lot of tourists and beer boys and to me didn't have the differentiation from "mainstream nightclubs" in the same way that The Cross, Turnmills,The End all have.
That said it does have the best sound system which more than makes up for it,although the rig in SE1 was mightily impressive :D
I liked the music a lot but I felt at time it needed to be a bit more uplifting :?: There were some expolsive moments that were excellent but personally I'm not keen on the melodic tribal stuff that filled for a bit (just my opinion) Maybe it was the sweets I had which I found were really mongy and bordering on the ridiculous (everyone wearing glasses and fake moustache???) They didn't energise me too much and I felt a bit sick most of the night so I put all the blame there!

On then to SE1 with a largely diminished crowd where only the hardcore survived
;) Buckley might not look so good in that Picture but I can assure you I felt worse (just lucky I hid it well)
I have to apologise to all those I met who I hardly had a word to say to...again I blame the sweets some people were really friendly and I felt very rude on reflecting on the night/day on my way back to Bristol on the train. :?
Good to meet Ferd and all associates, Buckley,Robo, Barbie and friends (very briefly) plus lots who's names I simply can't rembember :oops:

Hope to do it again soon!

I woke Buckley up from his little midday nap and we went off to Egg but it was finishing, so we tried the Key and it was also shutting so we went to Zigreds on Hoxton Sq where there were a fair few casualites (including smokin Jo :lol: ) :D

Lol Buckley I did feel for you in the afterparty :lol: The funniest moment was when a group of three girls were doing a sexy dance around you, rubbing up against you etc and you just stood their gurning with your eyes closed completely oblivious to it all :lol: :lol: :lol:

What a great weekend.

Friday: Stayed in
Saturday: Went to my mates new flat for a drink or 2 and a game of ProEvo Soccer before NDSM. Good to have Copperband joining us for that.
After a few "Liquid Blues" in the bar, we went to the main room and danced pretty much non-stop, from what I can remember.. :roll:
Great music all night, and it wasnt that packed either, enough room to dance, big contrast to when Morillo plays there.

Nice to see Robo and others in there. Also nice to finally meet Barbie and the gang. Saw most of them again at the after-party, and after a few shots I somehow ended up back at Jamie's :lol: Kidnapp is an appropriate word, specially since I completely forgot I'd left my mate at the afterparty, and I got a text from him half an hour later saying that he was leaving the club and guessing i'd left too :oops: Thanks to the gang for having me over, it was an experience 8)

Got back in time to watch Barca lose to Real.. :cry: might as well have continued with the misbehavings in east london..

ps: Dont think i'll forget Buckley's performance on sunday morning in a long while.. :D

Good to finally properly meet you to, after your first encounter with Tom ;)

Altho next time we won't be letting you escape early like yesterday, we thought we'd go gentle on you cos it was your first time :lol: ;) It's probably a good job you left when we did cos we spent the rest of the day sinking to new levels of lowness and you'd have ended up driving round London with us as we went to the Millenium Dome drinking rose straight from the bottle (classy 8O :lol: )
 
Epic epic weekend 8O 8O 8O

Fri - played a little gig at Red Room in Cicada, then on to catch Nick Warren @ Turnmills
Sat - Started at Chicken Knickers @ Trafik, awesome party, really great tunes.. Buckey already in fine form but sounds like it got a lot messier from there! Left Trafik as it closed then back to mine for a few bevvies.. turned up to Turnmills for the end of Smartie Partie, then off to Egg for Jaded until about 11.. followed by a trip to The Church for heavy drinking and drunken antics.. left there at 1pm to go to another pub where we stayed until 6pm or so...

Can hardly speak today, feel like I've gone 8 rounds with Lennox Lewis.

After he toasted to Barcelona beating Real all was forgotten.. ;)

I was actually surprised it was so easy for me to leave you.. I was fearing I wouldve been chained to the gates at Jesus Park or something. By the sound of it I missed an interesting evening. Still I did manage to try my first lucozade, you cant beat that can you..

HMMMMM.... some noticable ommisions so far from the Edinburgh contingent... I wonder why :P

I recall someone saying United weren't gonna get thru to the Scottish Cup Final. MEEEEHP! WRONG ANSWER!

Other than that my weekend was fairly pish. Sorted stuff out with female friend of opposite sex I made drunken amorous moves towards (see fridays spam) and thankfully, although awkward, we are cool in each others company. I'm dead lucky to have friends like that I think.

Anyhow, short and sweet that was my weekend. This week's gonna be madder though. My brother is marrying the love of his life on Friday, and I have the honour of being Best Man :D meaning I have a speech to write and read out... 8O Wish me luck!!!
