Weekend Plans

Fuuuuuuuuuck.

Had a great Friday evening, went to bed early ready for a fun 3 day weekend. Woke up Saturday morning with a sore throat and headache. You have got to be kidding me!! Spent all yesterday miserable and in bed, seem to be almost back to normal this morning, hopefully it's gone away after a shower and some coffee.
 
first BBQ of year yesterday at a pal's house in a lovely coastal town called Masnou. quite idyllic weather with a nice crew, music and the best bistecs a la plancha.

not entirely sure yet how I will be marking her majesty's big day from afar, but I doubt it could possibly compete with the W&K wedding when I ended up battered at this free 'alternative' party in a Hackney car park with a massive dub soundsystem and every crustie under the sun, descending into a tense standoff with crackheads, moody geezers with pitbulls and god knows what else before the plod turned up.. the bits they didn't show on the BBC..

Flight to Ibiza was cancelled the minute we walked into Gatwick at 2am Sunday morning. Was told no more flights from Gatwick to Ibiza until June 4th with any spare seats on

All other Airports the Sunday had no flights. It was chaos. The kids were gutted as was me and the mrs. Whole holiday is being refunded and we will try again in July

Don't forget to claim your compo as well- should be a good few quid. Maybe £220 each (including the kids) as per HERE and HERE. Don't take no for an answer either

Thank you I appreciate this. It was a mess. Had a hotel in Gatwick and the service, trying to get food and beers in there was a nightmare. Everywhere just felt pushed and squeezed and we were already stressed. Kept checking the flight and all was good

We got to purple parking and the guy said “your flight is ok but the 2 after have been cancelled” so I felt bad for them flights but good for ours. We walked into departures 15 mins later and more or less got a tx straight away saying cancelled. There was nobody to talk to as it was 2am. All Other people on our flight totally f***ed

One guy was playing a wedding out there at midday. 2 girls who had a week full of club tickets booked managed to find 2 flights from Southampton for 500 quid each. There seemed to be a few flights from other airports for 500 each, we couldnt pay that and they were snapped up within the half hour anyway when we checked again. It quickly became apparent there were no flights from anywhere to Ibiza

It was awful just looking at all the shattered faces

We are booked again in July which was meant to be me and the mrs for 8 days. Now looking to shorten that and take the kids. Means sacking clockwork at amnesia tho 😩

sounds horrendous. which hotel was that? I was at the Sofitel the other week but that was very pleasant.
 
Things are going a bit tits up for me for Harvey in Newcastle on Wednesday. Having issues with a Dog sitter as both daughters are away. I'm happy to come on my own but the costs are racking up for one person solo; driving from Manchester with hotel etc

You know anyone that would either a. My two tickets (30 quid for both) or b. Single ticket for 15 quid? open to offers lol

There are plenty of dog friendly hotels in the toon mate, for some though understandably they wouldn’t want to run the risk but if it’s a reputable gaff don’t see too much risk
