Weekend Plans

they're universally shit. i haven't popped the question yet, despite occasional hints
Occasional 😁 now that i'm married, I love it when the lads are getting grief from their Mrs' and girl mates about when it's going to happen 😁 Wind the lad up then remind the girl a reasonable time before proposing is 10+ years like I did 😁

First night in Digbeth this year tomorrow. Lab 11 for Afta dark. Hotel also booked even though only 20 mins from home. Tonight I need to see a man about a dog. Looking forward to this one.

Started the weekend early with my eldest being the star of his school talent show yesterday morning. 'You're welcome!' from Moana never sounded so good.

Arsenal and pizza last night, kids to my folks this morning.

Big footy match this afternoon...every game's a cup final now...10 games left, need to win about 7 to win the league.

Sunday morning - kids have a rugby match, Sunday afternoon they have a little footy tournament at Arsenal.

Monday: kidsitter arrives 5.30am for a 6 day stay so the missus can sneak a jaunt to Tenerife in...

Still in Tenerife. Run with the missus this morning, day around the pool, then dinner in Hard Rock Cafe

Tomorrow: early morning run, hotel breakfast, few hours around the pool and then off to the airport. Home for about 10pm. Can't wait to see my boys.

Sunday: kids have rugby in morning and then Mother's Day stuff.

Monday: Start new assignment with new client

OK, I am truly at an impass - HELP!!!

I have a return ticket to IBZ this weekend (land 4/4), I also have a ticket from LHR to AMS 4/4, OR is can go somewhere else.

WTF should I do? I haven't been to AMS, but its seems small and i'm NOT looking to party. Do I go to Berlin (I'm a huge history buff), stay in London (been 20+ times and I'm pretty over it - I would like to go see the imperial war museum), go enjoy AMS and see the sights (probably hit up Bruges), etc.????

Just to set the stage, getting to LHR is 4800 miles and ~10 hours in the air for me.

I am definitely going to be in Europe, just not sure wtf I should go....

lol I have been so damn busy, I lost track of this trip...#realworldproblems...

TIA :)

@B_Falls Berlin for the history gets my vote. Amazing city, expanding food scene, great bars. Different areas have different vibes. Not as expensive as London or Amsterdam. We try and get there once a year and never tire of things to keep our interest.

Thanks homie, that's where i'm leaning.

I need to make a call soon too. Ugh, it's my fault for being this late to the game too...

Yeah, Berlin for me too- my absolute fave city in the world. Just don't overdo the n*zi stuff, you can easily end up going back feeling bluer than when you got there. If you have time, try to get out to one of the lakes too- Wansee or Muggelsee are both lovely, or even just out to Treptow Park and walk along the river for a bit

The one thing I truly admire about the Germans is their absolute ownership of the past. They teach it, own it, and learn from it.

I wish my country had 1% of that self understanding (especially now)...

Thanks homie, appreciate you.

Berlin would get my vote too! Never been but one day I will make it there :)

Quiet weekend just gone (needed to be honest, Drumsheds was chaotic, in a good way!), and Southampton Half Marathon this Sunday coming, so another quiet weekend ahead!

Finally feeling a bit more settled back into the island after a turbulent week-10 days after landing.

It's my birthday weekend and my sisters are flying in Sat-Tues

Saturday: Chilled day, followed by sunset and a meal at Aragma 🤤 - potentially something that night if anything good is going on??
Sunday: Las Dalias afternoon for a dance in the sun, will we make it to Akasha...who knows?! - If anyone is around, come say hi!
Monday (actual birthday): Bloody Marys and beach days
Tuesday: Morning spin class with Oranja in the orange grove, whip them off to the airport and get my butt back in the office!
