Niiice. I was at Fabra i Coats catching these belgian folks...

... but the concert of the weekend was Mono from Japan last night who, once again, blew me away!

fabra i coats?! that’s 5 mins from here on metro! i don’t know any of those bands though - i don’t know how well you know the live scene here but sala upload on montjuic is a really good venue (sidecar in plza reial too)

having visited the city to go to concerts 2-4 times per year the last 20 years i know it a wee bit... my first time in the sant andreu area though!

Vodka limon is so last year. It’s now vodka ginger beer. You heard it here first.

oh wow i didn’t realise you knew the city so well! probably better than me. there used to
be a real rockers bar on carrer almogovers (95-96 maybe?) in poble nou. heroes de silencio, seguridad social etc. i used to see a girl into all that. my fave rock bar is barbara anns in les corts (tiny but always such good fun) all pijos in that barri so i don’t know how it survives

for me rocksound (almogavers 116) is the one nowadays, good concerts too... various people i know are coming over next week to see there luke winslow-king, who by the way made a surprise appearance at malanga cafe last march!
